Every adventurer needs a home, a place to regroup, a sanctuary for well-earned rest, a stronghold where treasures are safeguarded and victories are honored.
We’ve been busy behind the scenes, working on something we think you’ll love: a modular map maker for bastions and guildhalls.
Soon, you’ll be able to create sorcerers’ sanctums, bardic conservatories, rogue hideouts, and more—piece by piece, room by room. Whether you're a GM or a player, this tool will let you shape your world like never before.
Modular maps have been a consistent request for such a long time and we wanted to make something genuinely useful so we've made our own editor that'll allow you to drag-and-drop layouts or generate them from a single click. This has been many months in the making and will come with tons of content.
We've designed this to create all sorts of buildings, taverns, inns, a home for your players, and whatever else you need. But it will also work with DnD 2024's new Bastion rules, as that was a highly requested feature.
We'll be launching a Kickstarter soon to help bring this project to the finish line.

Very late to the party haha what makes this different than programs like Dungeon Draft or Dungeon Alchemist?

I know this is a little late but it comes out on the 21st of October. Their Kickstarter has more info on the project.
Will there be an option at some point for us to download this for when we don't have Internet?
The tool is web based but you can download what you create at any time.

If you sign up to the prelaunch page it'll email you on launch! :) Price range depends on the tier but we think the 'main' tier will be $30-40.

It'll be hosted on the website. But a 1-time purchase so after you back the kickstarter you can access forever. :)
I hope there'll be some Sci-fi/modern modular options too, there's so many medieval fantasy tools for this, but very few Sci-fi/modern ones.
This Kickstarter is fantasy-only but we're already working on a modular spaceship builder. Hopefully that'll release before the end of 2025 but no promises!

This Kickstarter will be a 1-time purchase, no subscription like our other projects but the goal is to build on the modular tool we've created and do other themes, like spaceships, dungeons, etc.

This sounds fantastic. You mention it can be used for building more than just bastions. Are each of the room tiles going to have variants like your maps do? My players are going to eventually be turning a haunted manor into their bastion, so I'd love to be able to build the manor itself with this and have it look spooky at first.
The tiles could also be used to create inns, shops, taverns, guildhalls, etc. There are some abandoned room tiles so you could make it look spooky I think!
This is so great! Will each room have variances showing upgrades as the room is further developed, or once placed is that what it'll be?
We have some empty rooms as well as ruined/abandoned. Hadn't considered upgraded versions of the same rooms but we can take that idea into consideration for sure.
Backing this on day one... Perhaps a strange question, but will there be down the line be something similair but for a ship? My players are in the near future going on the high seas and wanted to make that ship their 'bastion'.
If this Kickstarter is successful we'll do follow up packs in other themes. We had thought of doing dungeons or caves next but ships is a fun idea!
