Timelapse & Thoughts - V&M: "Target Audience" (+ New stickers are now live!)

Way back when I was on comic #90, I had this idea to make a cheerleader comic where Mona forgets what she's supposed to spell, so she just starts picking letters that show off her ass - but I couldn't quite figure out how I wanted to word the punchline, so I scrapped the idea. Here's the initial sketch from way back then:
Layla and Veronica's poses are pretty much the same as now, but Mona's thighs were NOT fucking around back then lol she was out to KILL with those thangs. I guess that's why she's the Pelvisbuster.

For those of you with a keen eye, you'll probably notice that the punchline went through a lot of changes in the timelapse and then completely swapped to a different one near the end. Originally, the idea I was planning to use was:
Veronica: "...ish she jusht picking lettersh that show off her pantiesh?"
Layla: "Probably. I mean, why else would the crowd be cheering?"
Guy #1: "K.M.V.?! The founder of our beloved college campus?"
Guy #2: "I know, right? What a thoughtful tribute!"
I still like the idea - it's a silly subversion of expectations, but I was worried the joke might fly over some peoples heads (I've had even simpler jokes that people on Reddit didn't understand lol), so I got cold feet and opted for a more straightforward joke in the end. Also, crowds are HARD AAAA I tried to use a dot filter to create the illusion of a crowd, but I couldn't really get it to look as nice as I wanted. I added a couple signs and outlined-heads to maybe make it pop a little more, but I dunno - I'll have to figure something else out the next time I'm making one.

On another note, those new stickers I showed last week are finally live on the Sticker Shop, if you'd like to add them to your collection! If you DO decide to pick up any merch, I just created a secret Discount Code for you guys - it's only active until Nov 1st, but at the checkout, enter DOCTORSORDERS for 20% off the entire order! Just keep that code a secret between us, alright? :)
I gotta admit, it's kinda nice having this shop around - Sticker Club was a really neat experiment, but it heavily limited how available my merch could be for my readers. With this shop, now fans can buy any kinds of stickers they want and it's easy for me to add new merchandise too! :D

That's all for now, I gotta hit the gym before it gets too dark outside, but it's good to be back! I'm sure you guys missed Mona's puffy donut, so now you can bask in the glistening glory once again lol as always, thank you for all your support! I hope you have a nice, relaxing Sunday! 💙
