My dear laptop loves it when I launch programs, like SFM, Blender, games...
It makes him happy.
But when I launch them, he goes ALL OUT! And I mean in EVERY situation!
- I launch SFM with complex liquid simulations?

90 degrees CPU! Snort my dust, you won't sleep for 2 months! 🔥
- I launch Half-Life 1 just because why not?

There you have it... My laptop loves going full throttle in everything he does.
And he's been like that since I bought him!
(It was one of the weak points of this model: noise and heat)
That's why I'm going to help him go through a detox cure and rein in his self-destructive impulses.
From now on, I'll render at a lower frequency, which means my renders are going to take longer :/
So for the safety of my computer, and especially the CPU, I'd ask you to be just a tiny bit more patient, my dear Chads. 🙏

When I had little money to invest in a really good laptop, I used to fill a ziploc bag with ice and put it underneath my laptop lol, and I did that for about a year, never had any issues. You can try that, just put some paper towel between the ice bag and the laptop 👍🏾 Also I'd recommend a laptop cooling pad. The pad should drop the temp by 1 or 2 °C. Even if the cooling pad fans aren't on, elevating your laptop away from the floor gives the intakes at the bottom better room for air flow as long as you get a cooling pad with legs that can tilt the pad up.
I was thinking about ice too, but the condensation and moisture it creates scare me! Plus, if the cooling is uneven, it could crack or even damage the metal... Anyway, OverthinkingChan at your service! 😁 I do have a cooling pad, of course, but mine’s a bit cheap. War Machine (one of our Chads) recommended a much better model, I should get it next week with Amazon. Thanks for your advices and for this awesome nickname! 😄
