Poll - Unaware of the World 2.0
Hey lads!
Since Friday I'm looking for a new 2D Artist and over dozen people wrote so far (yeah, that's a lot, so I'm really busy currently), and there's an idea that instead of trying to improve existing art (which is bad, I know) we could re-make it from scratch. Obviously, it will be A LOT OF work, will break many existing animations, cost me shitloads of money, and even prevent any new content from appearing for 1-2 months. This way we could make much better and hotter character art, upscale it to higher resolution and so on. The thing is, if I decide to do it, and you all suddenly start cancelling pledges - I'll be pretty fucked up, since you guys are my only income... I'll try to post frequent sneakpeaks and progress reports for the art being in the work-in-progress state, so I won't keep you in the dark.
Despite calling it 2.0, it will be just a character & background art update. Events, dialogues and most animations will be untouched. Even if I don't decide to re-make all art from scratch, I'm still hiring a new artist and I'm gonna improve existing art.
Keep in mind that this is the ONLY public poll I've ever made, so you all are free to vote, since I need as much feedback as I can get here! So please take it seriously!

Yes, I plan to release v0.27 before I break the game with art re-make, so I'm gonna work normally on it this month. I plan to re-make whole art in around 2 months, but it also depends on my new artist's free time etc., so I can't promise anything. Either way, we will see! Cheers!
Oh, I think this is a difficult question for many, since no one knows where either one or the other may ultimately lead. But I think it's better to just improve the existing art.
I'm fully aware of that. Once I get the chosen one artist, I will show his/her drafts ASAP.
@Unaware Team Could we (your patreons) be a part of your selection process, lets say you choose 3 artists and they should give you "naked body drafts" and we can poll on those...
Normally I would say "yes", but regarding character art it's really difficult to make correctly, to make it work in my project, so it's not as simple as providing art for the Visual Novel. But regarding background art, I guess I can do something like that, since this one is pretty straightforward ^_^
@Resza @Roger Yeah, once I choose an artist, I'll ask for naked body draft and then show it to you guys. But need to know what to aim for. Keep in mind that despite art re-make winning, I might still just go for the old art upgrade instead. Nothing is set in stone yet. Doing research mostly :P
I’m fine with remaking it, but some samples first would be nice for us to make a decision. I agree the current art isn’t amazing, but that’s one of the things that drew me to the game. So much art in VNs/games is so similar, it gets a little redundant.
Ooh man this is a tough one as I have no idea/example of what the art would look like when completely done from scratch (better being a subjective term). No idea if that would be worth it, so makes it a bit hard for me to choose. Seeing how the art improved over the last months (shadow work etc) I think it's already way better than it was. Also as the events/mechanics will stay the same (understandable ofcourse), I doubt how much extra a complete rework would bring, if it's worth it I mean. As of now, with the information I have now, I think I'd go for just further art improvement instead of complete rework. But it's a tough one hehe, either way I'd keep supporting.
