So I have to ask, are you completely giving up on Mogi origins? Cause yes A.I can be a tool what it can't be is used as the only tool. I love your work & your characters but seeing them turned into A.I garbage just makes me all kinds of disappointed.
I understand your frustration. I was conflicted about Ai art, and still am. My intent using Ai was to experiment and have extra content with better quality, while working on my games,but without taking serious time from game development. I guess it backfired. That said, I'm open to discussion and that is the purpose of this post. It surprised me to see that most responses were negative regarding Ai use, which is not only flattering for my work as an artist but also restores my faith in humanity. I thought Ai would steal my job but comments like yours are really touching, so thank you for that. Sorry I disappointed you so much. And I do agree, when I see Ai videos on YouTube make me feel uneasy. But I thought I could get away with it since I made my own characters with Ai. Apparently I was wrong. I wanted to use Ai as casual content, but my games can't have Ai as I'm still drawing and programming in Flash, even for MoGi. Regarding MoGi, I'm trying to solve a few problems with the conversion from GameMaker 1 to 2. But I'm working on solving them. In truth, I'm glad we have the chance to have this discussion, because up to now I was mostly working blindly, without any feedback. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for your honesty. I'm open to constructive criticism and challenging ideas, so this back and forth is very helpful!
... Why does this and the video look like generative AI? Like i guess it could not be, but it looks nothing like your style and it has all the hallmarks of GenAI. IDK about others, but I've always been here for your style.
This image and the video are indeed Ai. I'm trying to experiment with it and see what people think of it. Ai can be an interesting tool but it is also controversial. My Flash games can't have Ai art, and since they take time to be made, perhaps some Ai art can fill the gap. Ai still makes my characters under my guidance, so I thought of giving it a try. All that said, it makes me very happy that you prefer my art instead of the Ai. This is something many artists struggle with and debate about it.
