New Framerate Options – Fixed, Unlimited & Limited
Hey everyone,
in a recent update, I disabled the previously enforced Fixed Framerate setting. The goal was to make the game behave more naturally across different systems and allow the simulation to use the actual frame time.
However, this change caused problems for some players.
Head Game 2 relies heavily on procedural animation, physics, and other real-time simulation systems. On systems that cannot maintain a stable framerate near 60 FPS, the variable frame time may cause unstable behavior, excessive oscillation, or—in the worst case—the simulation completely freaking out.
To give everyone more control, the graphics settings now include three different framerate modes:
Fixed
Locks the simulation to 60 FPS.
This is the recommended option if low framerates cause unstable physics or simulation behavior. When the system cannot maintain 60 FPS, the game may run in slow motion, but the simulation should remain much more stable.
Unlimited
Runs without a framerate limit and uses the actual frame time.
This can provide the lowest input latency and allows high-end systems to run at their full potential. However, it may increase GPU usage, power consumption, heat, and fan noise. It can also expose simulation issues during larger framerate drops.
Limited
Uses a variable framerate with a configurable maximum FPS.
This works like the Unlimited mode but prevents the GPU from rendering more frames than necessary. You can select your preferred maximum framerate using the new Framerate Limit slider.
Which option should I use?
Start with Unlimited or Limited if the game runs smoothly on your system.
Use Fixed if you experience unstable movement, strong oscillation, broken physics, or exploding simulation behavior at lower framerates.
This solution allows players with stable high-performance systems to keep variable frame timing while giving players with lower or less consistent performance the option to restore the previous fixed simulation behavior.
Please let me know which mode works best for your system and whether you still encounter simulation issues.

Will you add the goth girl from head game 1 in a future update?
I was planning on adding a goth stereo type character / makeup / hairstyle option
