Multiple Updates! Upcoming Videos, Future Expanse Stuff, Neville (warning, long)!
Hey everyone. Let me start off by saying, due to Neville not improving and needing another vet trip today, I will need to delay Chernobyl and Good Omens until tomorrow (Monday). I'll say more on Neville in a minute but first, want to talk about upcoming videos and Expanse stuff.
1) For this week only, I'm going to re-post my Dad's reaction to GoT (episode 10), opening up the full length video to five dollar patrons as well. This is because I feel badly about the prolonged delays you guys have dealt with and don't want you to have to wait another few days for that reaction. The shorter one will be created and posted eventually. But for this week only, I'll be doing this.
2) Chernobyl and Good Omens will be Monday, along with my reaction to the trailer for His Dark Materials. If you have trailers for other upcoming shows you'd like me to react to, please let me know! Then The Expanse will be out on Tuesday, as usual.
3) I'll be starting Stranger Things Season 3 and probably Legion Season 3, once I finish up with Chernobyl and Good Omens (in a week for one, two for the other). I have been dying to see Stranger Things! My patience is running out! lol If you would be interested in full length reactions to ST, please let me know, so I can decide whether or not to do them.
4) With your comments in mind, my Expanse plans (post season 3) will start with reacting to the trailer(s) for the fourth season, which I know have been shown online. That will be the first week after I finish season 3. Then, I will be starting my book discussions/comparisons to the show after that! I'm very excited about this! I know there likely will be less YouTube viewers for these videos, but I don't mind that, if you guys are interested! I am also considering doing some other videos, similar to the one I made about Julie/Miller, that focus more deeply on specific topics and issues from the show or relationships. What do you guys think about that? If you're interested, do you have suggestions for video topics you'd like to see covered?
5. Finally - Neville. He is, unfortunately, not improving, despite weeks of treatment. At today's vet visit, they did a more specific culture test and an X-Ray. It looks as though he has both a GI infection (which is what we've been treating) and a respiratory infection. What's worse, he has a small tumor growing in his chest. Now, the tumor is benign, and is apparently common in parakeets... but it's location means they couldn't use a needle to drain the fluid from Neville's lungs. As such, he's been given an additional antibiotic and he'll be needing nebulizer treatments every day, for a couple of weeks. If he doesn't improve after that, I'll need to take him to a more practiced avian specialist a couple of hours away. So, I'm definitely discouraged and worried after all of that. But he's still generally happy, eating, and moving around well. I'm trying to stay positive!

Looking forward to the book discussion, I also started the books after season 3 and once the show was renewed. I would've read them if the show was cancelled too but would've read all of them instead of stopping at the end of 3. The trailers and scenes that have been released just fill me as they will you. Also have Expanse Crack 2 to look forward too.

Lost in space was watchable. It was cheesy plot, cheesy dialogue, but an entertaining enough way to spend a sunday afternoon with a hangover. lol Another Life though dear lord..
I really wanted to like Another Life but it's so bad. Netflix really backed the wrong Sci-fi show. They had first shot at The Expanse and whiffed it.
Hoping for a full recovery for Neville.
And I say all that even though I’m a Katee Sackoff fan. She can do better.
Please dont waste your time with Another Life. It’s not like Expanse at all. I was wishing it would be, but those low ratings on IMDB are well deserved. It’s almost slap stick comedy even though it’s not. I powered my way through it just because my wife wanted to continue to watch it, but to say I was disappointed is an understatement.
Agree. I will finish the show, but plot and character're weak.

My suggestion would be also to react to The Witcher trailer. My memory fails me... not sure you reacted to that in the past or if you're into Witcher games at all, but this looks really good (it will actually be an adaptation of the books, not the games)
Hope you get Neville sorted and is feeling better soon. I've just started rereading the books myself so would be curious to hear your insights. They are very good. Make sure to hit the novellas in between as well, they are nice and short but really fill up the sotry and the universe.
Yes, yes! All kinds of Expanse stuff you mentioned, I’d love to see them all. Book – show discussions are more than welcome. As for character arcs, the show is so well written that every single character that has at least 2 minutes screentime would deserve a video of their own. :) J-P Mao and his daughters, Amos changing a bit (makes his own choices lately), Naomi leaving her „family” to „play Belter” (quoting Amos) and then returning to them… and all the others as well. If you feel like, you could try to figure out Drummer, cuz while I love her character immensely, she’s still a mystery for me. And then her relationship with Naomi and Ashford… Thank you!
Aw, Neville :(. I hope everything turns out okay. As for The Expanse stuff, I can't wait to see your reaction for the Season 3 ending. I've been reading the first three books at my own pace and found the third book to be the best thus far. There are actually some scenes that are taken word for word. Definitely more detail about certain characters and their backstories in the novels. I would like to hear your thoughts on those. As for the trailer and teaser, I think a lot of people will agree with me here that the Amazon budget has really upped the quality and feel of the show. You can see it in the cinematography. It looks like a movie, that's all I'm going to say. Which is awesome! Also, Season 5 is already confirmed. You have a lot to look forward to!
Sorry to hear about Neville hope he gets better soon. Full length reactions to stranger things would be awesome, definitely looking forward to legion that show is amazing. As for trailer reactions HBO has news trailers for watchmen and westworld season 3.
Thank you so much for your concern and caring toward Neville and for your thoughts! I am so pumped for Legion. I've never seen a show anything like it and am really looking forward to unleashed David lol. Also, I will be watching both of those shows, so, I'll definitely check out the trailers too!
I'm on a current re-read of the Expanse novels. I blew through them really fast up to Babylon's Ashes because I was so fascinated with this new world I was experiencing. When I started Persepolis Rising I realized I was forgetting key details and characters from the past books so I stopped and started reading from Leviathan again to refresh myself. To answer your question, I'm thinking that videos on the books might be pretty interesting.

Good luck to Neville. Opinions probably differ, but I'd recommend watching the ~5:41 trailer first. Both introduce new characters and story, but the longer trailer is very atmospheric and does a good job laying out many of the themes for season 4. It's technically a clip, but it works very well as a teaser.

Since you're probably avoiding Expanse news and all, there's some good news. The show was already renewed for a 5th season.
That is fantastic news! And yeah, I am definitely trying to avoid any information. I don't want to get spoiled with only a couple of weeks left, after successfully avoiding spoilers for so long! I've actually been trying to completely avoid going on YouTube, other than my own page, just because I don't want to chance seeing a recommended video thumbnail with anything given away. That's happened to me in the past with other things! :(
