Hello everyone! Attached, you'll find the link to my full length review and reaction of Season 3 Episode 10 of The Expanse! This was another amazing episode (with yet another insane cliffhanger)! I have so many question now! lol
The shorter, edited version is currently uploading to google drive and will be posted as soon as possible (probably within the next few minutes).
Tomorrow, I am going to try to respond to some of your comments, particularly on my posting about the potential for creating videos based on the books, during the upcoming break between the end of Season 3 and the premiere of Season 4. Thanks so much everyone!
All the best,
Molly

When you finish the season and start to look at the S4 trailers, you might want to check out some of the videos of cast/crew panels and interviews at SDCC. They avoid spoilers, but it's obvious they all have immense pride in the show...and fun and joy in doing it.
Great reaction and review. I liked your reaction to Amos when he said "Don't worry, I'll take you with me...", as if he were doing Alex a favor, lol. Yeah, the different reactions to the ring were really dealt with on a personal level, from Drummer and her Belter speech, to Anna's enthusiasm, to the crew member who killed himself.
Thank you so much! I was very impressed with the way they managed to highlight the variety of potential reactions people could have throughout this episode. And I love everything involving Drummer lol
There's definitely a lot of crossover between Stellaris players and Expanse fans. Are you planning on checking out either the trailer or the short clip for Season 4 that was released at SDCC?
Yes, both will be coming soon!
The score during the scene in this episode where Miller recounted their final moments with Julie was the same as we could hear in S2E5 "Home" where they finally met on Eros.
Ahhh! That's so awesome! I am going to need to re-watch the entire series once I'm finished, so that I can see things like this, which I didn't notice the first time around!
The is an off the cuff reference by Miller to something in the books, 'Monkeys and Microwaves' . Talking about how a monkey would relate to a microwave is the same way Humans are interacting with the protomolecule tech. '“Holden was starting to feel like they were all monkeys playing with a microwave. Push a button, a light comes on inside, so it's a light. Push a different button and stick your hand inside, it burns you, so it's a weapon. Learn to open and close the door, it's a place to hide things."
"Never grasping what it actually did, and maybe not even having the framework necessary to figure it out. No monkey ever reheated a frozen burrito. So here the monkeys were, poking the shiny box and making guesses about what it did.” -- James S.A Corey.
Stellaris! I love that game. It reminds me so much of The Expanse. Anyway, like everyone else said, episode 12 & 13 are supposed to be watched together! I can't say much without spoiling so I'll just leave it like that. The vision is important though! Try to piece together what you can.
I will definitely be watching them together! And thank you for the advice! I'll go back over the vision scene a couple of times and see if I pick up anything new!
Errinwright referred to her when talking about ways they could make Mao come in from the cold. She's the eldest sister.
Her role this season has been very interesting to me. It's fascinating to see how Mao's parenting and general behavior shaped Clarissa and Julie in very different ways.
Great reaction...and great insight. All will become clear (or at least, clearer) in the next few episodes, BTW, episodes 12 & 13 were broadcast together as a two-hour episode. You should consider watching them together.
I will definitely watch them together!
It is hard to say anything without spoilers, and a LOT will be answered in the coming episodes anyway. With that said, give that vision a couple (dozen) more watches and see if you can piece some of it together.
Will do! I have been thinking about it quite a bit over the past few days!
Big fan of Stellaris :) I'm a big fan of the various precursor chains, and yeah I definitely get the same vibe from the stuff surrounding the protomolecule
Someone made an Expanse mod for Stellaris.
I think Amos put it best: this is some freaky shit. And there's not a lot that anyone could say that won't spoil anything for you, and I hope nobody does. The answers to most of your questions will be provided before the end of the season, at least in broad strokes. There will always be *some* questions left over, of course, because this is The Expanse. The one thing I think I can safely say -- because it's quite vague -- is the description that was published with this episode. If you'd rather not read it, skip the rest of this, but I figure it was what the writers were willing to tell us, and, again, it's pretty vague. The description of the episode said (with respect to that final scene) that Holden saw "past, present, and future" in his vision. That's not much to go on, especially since it's not clear which part of the vision is which, but there does seem to be some element of warning / foretelling / prediction among those images (as you sort of suspected). But which images are which? At this point, I think we were meant to guess.
Ooo that's interesting, thank you! So far, I haven't been spoiled. So, I'm very curious to see what's coming next!
Yes! Another Stellaris fan!
Yes! Such a great game! I haven't had time to play in a while, but this is making me want to get back into it.
