Game of Thrones S1xE1 "Winter is Coming" Full Reaction with Dad!
Hi everyone! Here, at last, is the first full reaction video to Game of Thrones! I had the chance to sit down with my Dad this past weekend and watch a couple of GoT episodes, so that I could record his reactions. It was pretty fun and a new experience for me, since I have never made one of those videos with anyone else present before. My Dad is incredibly confused about reaction videos and made some funny comments both before and after, so I left some of those "behind the scenes" clips in with the full reaction here! Please excuse the fact that I don't look as good as I'd like haha. The lighting was not ideal and I was a bit sick but I still think it turned out pretty good, overall. I'm going to try to get the edited, shorter version up before the end of tonight - but it may be Saturday, depending on how much work I get done later! Enjoy everyone!
All the best,
Molly

Just saw it, and loved it, hehehe. He's obviously not used to it, to the whole reaction thing, recording and even to the show, but if he gets into it, he will start to remember names I'm sure. Btw, does he realize he's being watched by ppl all around the world? lol.... Not to get him nervous ;)
Yeah, he'll definitely remember more as the series progresses. He does, however, like to make fun of himself (and me), which is part of the reason he keeps saying he won't remember anything and then laughing lol. He'll be fine though. And he sort of knows, I think, but I don't think he fully understands that! He knows people are watching "online" but I'm not sure if he fully understands the extent of it! lol
This is helpful. I have tried to get into GoT and failed, including the books. I love dragons and ancient cultures too so it has surprised me how tough its been. This will be on my list of reactions to watch with you so I can join your dad in his journey!!
Awesome, thank you! I do think that Game of Thrones can be a bit difficult for people to get into at first but it can be very rewarding down the line if you're able to kind of power through the beginning. Hopefully you'll have the opportunity to enjoy it!
I am 100% on board. Your father has a good sense of humor, seems to pay enough attention to grasp what's going on(which a lot of people have problems with over the first few episodes), and though not entirely comfortable in front of the camera, seems to be willing to give it a go. My only question to him would be if he had watched that first episode on his own, without the recommendation of his daughter and without an audience, is it a show that he would continue watching? My own experience with my father(retired and in his 70's now) and GoT was that once he was willing to accept the nudity and language, and invested his attention into the story lines playing out(which took a couple of episodes, to be fair) he got through the rest of the series in two weeks. If he had watched that first episode on his own, I'm not sure he would have continued with it, but he's glad he did. After the first half of the first season, he was watching a few episodes a day, rewatching some, and got frustrated when he had to wait a couple of months for season 7. lol He lives pretty far from me now, so it's just another one of those things that gives us a reason to keep in touch, which I'm appreciative of. I hope your father takes to it in a similar way. It'll be interesting to watch that dynamic play out again. Enjoy, and have fun.
Glad to hear you're on board with this reaction series! I feel like my Dad probably would've watched the show, if he'd actually been exposed to it, even without me prodding him. He actually doesn't care about nudity or violence (though he obviously does react to them) - I suppose he's kind of like me actually, in that with a lot of grosser or shocking scenes I cringe, look away, or make noises - but ultimately, I do not mind those things at all! Thank you for sharing that information about your experience with your father! I did tell my Dad that once we get to episode six or seven or season one, he'll probably want to binge watch it, but he's not allowed lol!
Your dad's a kick, that was fun. It's also good for me as a refresher.
He is Bob: eager for fun. He wears a smile; everybody run.
Ahahaha perfect
Did they have clothes back then.... Brilliant! :D
haha... Can see where you get your personality from. You dad seems really cool and a good laugh :)
Hahaha thank you! And yes, he is very entertaining!
This should be really cool. Looking forward to watching these.
Hah, did you tell your dad ahead of time what type of content is in this show?
Nope lol he was given no warnings.
