Game of Thrones Discussion - Who Should Defeat the Night King? (Early Access)
Hi everyone! This video is a little bit of a change of pace. Given that the final season of Game of Thrones is quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to talk about some of the events we may see happen in Season 8. In this video, I discuss which characters I believe have a chance of killing the Night King (if he dies), and go into my reasons why I think certain characters are more likely to kill him, and why I believe one character should, ultimately, be the one to do so. This is just for a bit of fun!
Also, I am still planning on responding to your comments for my last handful of videos. The last couple episodes of The Expanse, in particular, were amazing and worth discussing in more detail. I just have to find a couple minutes to sit down and get to them - but I will eventually! Thanks everyone!
All the best,
Molly

I'm not a toy collector, but this looks like the best bottle opener I've ever come across. hard to justify at that price, but Wow! https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/game-of-thrones-drogon-threezero-904278
Omg it's amazing! You're right, I couldn't justify the price, even during my most obsessive GoT moments. But Drogon is beautiful there!
Great breakdown, Jon is living on borrowed time, and I believe that it will be the NK defeating him while he sacrifices himself for Daenerys. I agree with BWR on the way it goes down. An aerial battle between the three dragon riders (which would be amazing to see!) where Daennerys ends up in a compromising position that requires the sacrifice from Jon. There has to be some kind of showdown between Jon and the NK being from what they have built through prior confrontations. No other characters would have the same weight of loss. I always thought that Jamie's moment in the seires would be killing Cercei as a the new leader sieging King's Landing. All these things make perfect sense to me, which is why it will prolly go down differently :) I guess this video signifies the time to begin a series rewatch. Giddy up!
and yes, I see Daenerys with the final dragon kill shot.
I think technically it will be Dany riding one of the remaining dragons and destroying the NK by a firestorm. But are we really sure Benjen is dead. or deader than before, because I was thinking that he might be another possibility if he somehow survived. yeah I guess he's history.
This is precisely what I would like to see happen. Dany on Drogon takes down the NK on Viserion. That way, she's freeing Viserion/all the undead, Drogon is killing the undead Viserion in a parallel way to how Drogo killed Viserys, and they get to throw in an overt nod to the original Dance of the Dragons. Seems pretty perfect to me (which probably means I'm missing something haha). I think Benjen is definitely dead but you never know!
Ok.... what about daenerys having to die, to become enslaved by the white walkers, to rise up, lead a wight slave revolt, and kill the night king? Then she’d die a second time, is that bitter sweet? Regarding Brandon there is a lot of speculation that he is Bran the Builder and responsible for the wall in the first place... I don’t think his role will be defeating the night king. Another possibility is it doesn’t take a single person, that each of the remaining houses has to come together, both defeating him and breaking the wheel I still feel like king slayer will become the queen slayer.... though it would be fitting for him to kill the night king to give his nickname a prophecy like meaning
I think the idea of Dany becoming the "Night Queen" is interesting. I'd be curious to see how that would play out. And yes, that'd definitely be bittersweet! I think a number of the theories that still have the potential to be true in the book series, may not be fully developed on the show (largely because George hasn't written them yet and the showrunners have decided to simplify a lot of things). Bran being Bran the Builder and having had a large impact on the history of Westeros through his time traveling/changing abilities (as showcased with Hodor) does seem likely to me in the books but I kind of doubt they'll go there in the show. I'd be interested to see if Bran will manage to warg undead Viserion though. I still think that could possibly happen. I believe that Jaime killing Cersei is almost guaranteed in the books (unless George changes his end game for them intentionally now). I'm less sure of whether or not we'll get that on the show though. They haven't brought up the Valonqar prophecy - and we know they definitely could have done so - since they included the part of Maggy the Frog's prophecy that discussed Cersei's children. This seems like it has to be intentional. So, while I'd love to see Jaime become the QueenSlayer, I'm a bit skeptical as to whether or not we'll actually get that ending on the show, unfortunately. I do like the idea of having a number of people work together to ultimately destroy the Night King.
Defeat? No, no...... He’s called the night king for a reason, he’s going to end up on the iron throne........ 😱
Lol nooooo he can't! That wouldn't be "bittersweet"!
