UPDATE: October Incoming!!
Hey guys! With October coming up, we're going to be doing a lot of horror/spooky movies! I have a few already picked out, either because they were directly requested, I want to watch them, they fit our already established themes, or they're a classic I haven't seen. However, I'm also going to be doing a handful of smaller polls so you guys can pick what else we watch. These revolve around topics (ex: pick a haunted house/ghost movie) or director and include movies you guys have also recommended. So, please keep an eye out for all of the polls and vote accordingly! Here's a list of some of the movies I've already selected and reasons why:
Friday the 13th Parts 1 & 2: - classics I haven't watched and there's a new related tv series coming out in October that I've been requested to watch (Crystal Lake)
Psycho - classic I haven't watched and can get me started on Hitchcock, since he filmed a lot of older movies that are considered essential watching for movie lovers
Reanimator - this one was requested by multiple people for a long time and was in a few polls but didn't win, so I figured it was time to give it a go!
John Carpenter's Vampires - fits our Carpenter theme and specifically requested
Halloween 2018 - specifically requested by a long term patron many months ago and I owe it to him! Also just curious to see how this changes up the Halloween movies story!
Silver Bullet - need another Stephen King movie and I've promised this one for a while!
Night of the Living Dead - classic I haven't seen, and I really should, since I watched Return of he Living Dead which came after that!
Dawn of the Dead - classic I haven't seen and the alternative follow up to Night of the Living Dead
Ready or Not - specific request from a long term patron in the $100/month tier (and also highly praised by some friends of mine so I'm curious)
I'm also thinking about doing "re-watch" reactions to the original Halloween and Carrie. Mostly because I'll be doing Halloween 2018 and it's been many, many years since I watched the original Halloween, and because there is ALSO a Carrie tv series by the great Mike Flanagan (Haunting of Hill House, Dr. Sleep, Midnight Mass) being released in October that I plan to react to. It's been years since I actually sat down and watched the original Carrie, so I think it'd be fun to watch it with older eyes as well, before the series releases!
That being said, you can expect the series reactions to "Carrie" and "Crystal Lake" in the $5 a month tier, in addition to these movies AND the ones you'll be picking in the polls. It's going to be my busiest and most ambitious month to date on patreon so I hope you all will enjoy it! And please vote in the polls!

Ever seen the most batsh*t insane Nick Cage movie ever made?😂😂😂 It's called Mandy. It's a nightmare ride through an acid trip landscape that somehow fuses Hellraiser, The Road Warrior, and Natural Born Killers into a Dante-esque Underworld journey with Nick Cage and chainsaw fights: https://youtu.be/as-lBBVNPeY?is=qZNECSjdz0X63Rp8
OMG she would love that one.
Ravenous. Remember that jaunty music from the Ninth Gate? This takes it to another level. It stars Guy Pierce, Robert Carlyle, and David Arquette.
I'll look it up! Never heard of that one but the cast sounds awesome!
Zack Snyder's remake of Dawn of the Dead from 2004 is also well worth watching.
I'll keep it in mind/add it to the list for the future!
I would like to suggest "Drag Me To Hell"
Drag Me To Hell is a very underrated gem.
FYI since you’ve already seen the original Carrie you could do a first watch of the remake staring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore to bone up for the series
I've actually seen that one more recently than the original! I'm gonna be honest here, I kind of just want to re-watch the original before the season LOL. I could just do it myself but I figured it might be fun to film it, in case any one wants to re-watch along with me!
