Love-joint Studio Update | New Projects

Hey everyone, how’s it going?

As many of you noticed, after years of hard work, last month we wrapped up another project: Streaming For Love.

Before anything else, we want to say that this project is one more proof that we don’t like starting something and leaving it unfinished. Over the past few years we’ve delivered several complete games to you: DFD, Double Homework, Shale Hill Secrets, and now Streaming For Love. 

Not to mention we’ve managed to keep up something you hardly ever see out there: we deliver playable content every single month! Whether it’s bonus scenes or full episodes with over two hours of gameplay. Believe us, we value your support and do everything we can to honor it.

That said, the transition between these last few projects was a real challenge. Lots of changes in the team, changes in the industry, platforms boycotting our kind of content, politicians throwing all their lobbying power against our type of product... Well, we survived! But what about the future?

The Blind Daedalus

If you finished Streaming For Love and stuck around after the credits (there are different little gags depending on which ending you got, did you notice?), you’ve already seen the teaser for our new project!

The Blind Daedalus takes you back to the classroom. But this isn’t a normal school, and it isn’t the world as we know it.

The game is set in the near future, just a few years from now. The world has embraced some new technologies, and one big corporation, the largest on the planet, has introduced a new device that makes people “better” through a chip implanted in their heads.

Even though the whole planet has adopted this new technology, plenty of questions still surround the company, its owners, and their true intentions...

And that’s where you come in. As the main character of this story, you’ll find yourself right in the middle of it all, and you’ll discover that your connection to Daedalus goes back much further than you think.

With a pinch of cyberpunk, something the studio has wanted to explore for years, the game will follow our usual recipe: mystery, investigation, cliffhangers that leave you craving more, plenty of romance and, of course, episodes released consistently and continuously, just like we’ve always done!

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more news about the game: a full trailer, info on the characters, details about the story we’re building (which has been in development for quite a while now!), and much more!

Double Homework Remaster

Thought the news was over? Think again!

With some adjustments to our schedule, we’ve been able to put more hours into the Double Homework remaster, something a lot of you have been requesting for a while now.

Progress has been fast, and a bunch of improvements are being implemented. One of your biggest requests, for example: turning DH into a downloadable game. The game will also bring several engine improvements, from how your saves are organized to how you browse scenes in the galleries.

The bonus scenes are being turned into playable scenes. Back when bonus scenes first started, the veterans will remember, all we produced was an image pack for you to download. Now, though, we’re converting every one of them into playable scenes, accessible straight from the game’s menu. Way cooler, right?

The game’s graphics are also getting substantial upgrades. We’re working inside the engine to add all kinds of lighting and particle effects, giving depth to the scenes and its backgrounds, twinkling lights, better visuals and contrast... Long story short, the game looks a whole lot prettier! I’m sure you’re going to love it!

The new graphics are completely optional, of course! So if you're a purist, you'll still be able to stick with the original look if you prefer.

Soon we’ll also have more info on when this new version of Double Homework will reach you. But don’t worry: as I said earlier, your support means a lot to us, which is why we always deliver content to you. Always!
