Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Causticoal Pickaxe  — This warpick is tainted by volatile and impure coal it once mined. Whenever you score a critical hit, it deals bonus acid damage and gains an attack bonus. After enough total critical hits with this warpick, it explodes, dealing acid damage to nearby creatures and destroying the pickaxe.

2)  Everglacier Flameblade  — This blade of ice has a fiery core. While using it, you gain resistance to cold damage and deal bonus cold damage on hit. As a bonus action you can summon forth the weapon's fire, causing it to change the bonus damage to fire and shed light. As an action you can spend a number of charges to deal fire damage to a creature you can see based on the number of charges spent.

3)  Covolt Vine  — This whip is fashioned from a growth of thorny vines sprouted from a covolt deposit and deals additional lightning damage on a hit. You can attempt to grapple a creature with the whip instead of making an attack, when you do it takes additional lightning damage until it escapes.

4)  Splintorch  — This 2-inch long splinter acts much like a normal torch when lit, providing as much light as one.

5)  Xorn Eye Coin  — A magical golden coin with a swiveling eye on one side. When activated, the eye stares in the direction of the nearest gemstone within 100 feet of it for 1 minute.

6)  Solacesteel Truce Bringer  — A weapon made of a purified mourningsteel, called solacesteel. It deals additional radiant damage on a hit and you gain a bonus to any Charisma (Persuasion) check to convince a creature to not fight.

7)  Amulet of Devotion  — A divine amulet that grants you and a nearby ally of your choice gain a bonus to AC. You can also spend hit dice to heal an ally nearby as well.
