Primordial Powder - verious gem dusts that can be used to summon friendly mephits. (List gem types to match SRD mephits, and allow GMs discretion to use other appropriate gem dust to cover non SRF mephits)

**Arcane Intelligence Interface** *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)* This unusual crystalline visor projects arcane runes controlled by a magically simulated mind. The visor is a sentient magic item of neutral alignment, with an Intelligence of 16, a Wisdom of 16, and a Charisma of 10. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 60ft. The visor communicates telepathically with you and was designed to aid its wearer, shifting its personality to better function as an advisor. While wearing the visor, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks that rely on sight and you can't be surprised as the helm's intellect warns you of potential threats. As a bonus action, you can engage the helm's tactical capabilities to replicate the effects of *bless* targeting yourself and three other creatures within 30 feet, manifesting as spectral copies of the visor. If you lose concentration on this effect (as if concentrating on a spell) the spectral copies fade, but you retain the benefits of the effect. This effect lasts for 1 minute, and once used it cannot be used again until dawn.

**Sphere of Rapid Descent** *Wondrous item, uncommon* This odd, crystalline ball has a small pull cord attached to it. As a reaction when falling or sliding down a dangerous slope, you can pull the cord to expand the orb, duplicating the effects of the *resilient sphere* spell targeting yourself with the following changes: -You cannot roll the sphere from inside it. -You are not immune to spells originating outside the sphere. -You do not take damage from the sphere impacting surfaces or falling. -The spell ends when the sphere stops moving. When the spell ends, the orb bursts, detroying itself.

**Spell Refractor** *Armor (shield), rare* This shield seems to be made of a thick crystalline lens set in a ring of rune-inscribed mithral. When a willing creature casts a spell while you are inside its range you can use your reaction to refract the magic through the shield, allowing the caster to target the spell as if they were in your space.

An amethyst "third eye" that can be implanted in one's forehead for a psychic benefit, or maybe make it a monk-specific item that grants additional ki points

Monk puts gem on table Monk slams head on table Monk had now embedded gem into forehead

A quartz timepiece that casts (a limited version of?) time stop.

Could always make more figurines of wondrous power. Like a carnelian phoenix that you can send to harry and burn a single target and explodes on death. A lapis lazuli stag beetle that is hollow under its wing casings and can transport a handful of medium creatures like an armored, crawling wagon. A malachite pangolin that'll ball up and roll around in a battle trying to knock things prone. A quartz parrot that can shriek a zone of silence. Stuff like that.

Cool ideas! You should post those in the Discord, too, so we can come back to them. Each one would probably need to be its own thing, but I like those examples!

[Gemstone] Moon's Sight Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement) This moonstone masks gleams brighter the closer to the full moon it is. While attuned to this mask, you ignore the penalties of Intelligence (Investigation) and Wisdom (Perception) checks while in dim light and gain +3 to Intelligence (Investigation) and Wisdom (Perception) checks while in darkness. While there is a full or new moon, you gain 60 feet of darkvision.

[Gemstone] Bloodstone Maul Weapon (maul), rare (requires attunement) The head of this maul is made from a large piece of bloodstone, bands of dark iron wrapped around it. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Whenever you score a critical hit using this weapon against a creature, that creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you, and must make a Wisdom saving throw each time it attempts to move to a space that is more than 30 feet from you. If it succeeds on this saving throw, this effect doesn’t restrict the target’s movement for that turn. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until you attack any other creature, if you cast a spell that targets a hostile creature other than the target, or if you end your turn more than 30 feet away from the target.

Something from a set of royal kitchenware: Been a while since I've seen something with a solid approach to Temporary HP. Maybe Mrs. Potts pours some TEA-mporary liquid?!

What if the gems worked with an item as a form of insertable combinations? Lodge in two gems for a combination.

For the gemstone item, a legendary item for a cleric or paladin. Maybe a dagger carved from a grand diamond that can cast revivify without components. Give it a percentile chance of losing all of its magic if used in this way more than once a week/month

Emberstone Mines Wonderous item, Very rare These small red gemstones are actually magically solidified fire. The mine can either caltrops or ball bearings and are found in felt pouches or boxes in groups of 12. Each mine has an AC of 5 and 1hp. When a mine takes damage, it is immediately destroyed and deals 1d4 fire damage in a 1 foot radius.

Moon: a ring that orbits the finger (kinda like the sand skimmer ring but bigger pieces?) and can be used to affect gravity. Kitchen: a rolling pin? Good for bread-making and can have a similar effect as vicious mockery when you hit a creature with it? Gemstones: I’d love to see a ring or other item made from intertwined/braided gemstones of various kinds- could potentially be consumed 1 by 1 until none are left, with each type of gem having different a spell(s) it can cast.

A piece moon debris (rock, gem) worn by necklace, pendant or ring that when the name of one of the moon deities that is attached to the is evoked an effect happens... That effect may vary depending on the deity and represents a prime aspect of that deity. This can happen a number of times up to 4 per long rest, a d4 is rolled after the rest to see the number of times that are recharged.

For the royal kitchenware item, I was thinking it could have something to do with the spell Hero's Feast. Like it either lets you cast the the spell X number of times, or maybe it can create a personal feast just for the person using/attuned to it.

DomPrez · October 23, 2021

Single target heros feast sounds really cool!
