Renowned Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to make!

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Fungal Totem — A fungus covered pendant with moss that slowly shifts around, always pointing to north. If you are wearing the pendant when you drop to 0 hit points a plume of spores is released casting the spare the dying cantrip and a 15 foot square area is protected dealing damage to creatures who enter and fail a saving throw.

2) Spear of Increasing Momentum — Once per day, when you make a ranged attack with this spear you can convert forward movement into extra damage, gaining a bonus for every 5 feet that you moved.

3) Arthroware — A set of common magic cutlery that are designed to look like various insects. Speaking their command word causes a piece of cutlery to spring to life as its insect and fulfill a predestined task, such as finding nearby water, a nearby edible plant, or nearby Tiny creature.

4) Ballroom Breaker — An elegant ballroom mask that grants a bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks made between dawn and dusk, and can be used to magically create and wear a formal outfit during the same time.

5) Splintorch — This 2-inch long splinter acts much like a normal torch when lit, providing as much light as one.

6) Helm of the Spelldrinker — A magical helmet that gives you advantage on spell saving throws and disadvantage to enemy spell attack rolls against you. You can use it to cast the antimagic field spell once a day.

7) Adventurer's Galoshes — A pair of well-worn boots that always appear dirty yet never leaves mud behind. Wearing these boots gives you and nearby friend creatures a climbing speed and your speed can’t be reduced.
