Elite Workshop Day 2 — What kind of Ethereal Plane item should we make?

Hey heroes! Thanks for the votes and comments yesterday! Let's make another item together!

These are loose item ideas based on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Ethereal Plate — A breastplate that causes your spirit to leave your body when you're unconscious, making you immune to damage that doesn't kill you outright when unconscious, and allowing your spirit to fly around nearby and take the Help action.

Fyn's Phased Flute — A hollowed phase spider leg turned into a special flute that allows you to see into the Ethereal Plane while you play, and use charges to briefly shunt you and nearby allies into the border Ethereal while you continue to play. The flute can be heard in both ethereal and original planes.

Psychopomp's Staff — An ash gray staff used by an old caretaker who ushered lost souls into the next realm. When a creature dies within 120 feet of you, can use your reaction to cast modified versions of either speak with dead or gentle repose on the corpse once a day.

Ghostlight Lantern — A lantern whose light only exists on the Ethereal Plane, but still allows you and nearby allies to see with it as if the light were on the Material Plane. You can briefly shift into the Ethereal Plane once a day while holding the lantern.

Phase Spider Dart — A dart that, when thrown, vanishes into the Ethereal Plane and reappears in front of your target; the target must make a saving throw instead of you making an attack roll. On a failed save, it takes damage from the dart and is shunted to the Ethereal Plane for 1 round.

Trumpet of Bardic Transposition — A trumpet with an Ethereal sheen. When played to grant a Bardic Inspiration die to an ally, you can choose to swap places with that creature, provided that it's willing. Otherwise, you can cast dimension door with the trumpet once a day.
