**Chef's Assistant** *Weapon (knife), uncommon (requires attunement)* This sharp cooking knife bears the icon of a famed chef, and seems to be inhabited by some form of spirit that allows you to act with unnatural speed and precision. Attacks made with this magical weapon deal an additional 1d4 piercing damage on a hit, and it immediately after throwing it it returns to your hand. You gain advantage on all checks made to prepare food while using this knife. Additionally, if you leave it with a set of cooking utelsils and 1 gp worth of ingredients over a long rest, it will create a meal that gives the creature who eats it 1d4 temp HP. ***Curse.*** The spirit in this dagger demands perfection and is spiteful of failure. When you roll a 1 on an attack roll or ability check to prepare food using this dagger, it launches itself at you and you take 2d4 piercing damage. **Bard's Bounty** *Wondrous item, common* This tiny clay pot contains a cutting of a robust berry bush whose fruit is highly energizing and has a unique, spicy taste. Given its small size it can only grow a single berry at a time. After you eat it, once within the next 10 minutes you can add a d4 to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. You must take a long rest before you can gain the benefit of one of these berries again. Once picked, the berry remains magical for 24 hours, after which it shrivels up. Once a berry has been picked, a new one grows after 7 days have passed. **Vulcanis Vulpes** *Wondrous item, common* This rough ebony ornament is carefully molded into the shape of a fox's head, and always feels faintly warm. When placed in a sufficiently hot flame (an oven, a campfire, etc.) that fills up to a 10 ft cube, it accumulates a mass of fire around itself to form a tiny fox-like elemental creature with the ornament acting as its head. The fox uses the cat stat block with the following changes: its type is changed to elemental, it cannot make attacks, it is immune to fire damage, and any creature that makes physical contact with it takes 1 fire damage. It is connected to the fire that created it and, if that fire begins to go out, will search the nearby area for fuel to sustain it. The fox has advantage on any checks made to find fuel. It is friendly to any creature that supplies fuel to its fire, and any creature it considers a friend is immune to damage from the fox's heat and the heat of its fire. If the fox is reduced to 0 hit points or touches water or if its originating fire goes out it dissipates, leaving the ornament behind.
Afternoon Tea Wondrous Item, Uncommon This item is a box that contains a few flavors of tea that when brewed and drunk soothe and calm the soul. Any creature that drinks this tea are under the effects of the calm emotions spell for 1 hour and gain 2d10 temp hit points that last until a long rest is completed.
Flying Pan Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement) This sturdy cast iron pan is imbued with magic. You have a +2 bonus to Cook's Utensils checks while using this pan. While attuned to this pan, you can telepathically manipulate (no action required) it to do simple motions, such as flipping and tossing its contents, as long as it is 60 feet away from you, leaving your hands free for other tasks. This pan can also be used as a weapon in a pinch. It counts as a simple improvised weapon, and you are proficient with it as a weapon if you are proficient with cooks utensils. While the pan is within 60 feet of you, you can use a bonus action to command the frying pan to move 30 feet in the air and strike an opponent. Make a melee weapon attack against the target. On a hit, it takes bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 plus your strength modifier.
[Kitchen] Skull soup, a soup made from the remains of a spellcaster or a creature with innate spellcasting abilities. Eating it replenishes your mental energies, allowing you to regain spell slot levels equal to half that of what the consumed creature had (so if the creature had two first level spell slots, you could regain one first level slot) (if it was innate spellcasting, 1/day = 1 spell level)
[Kitchen] Fine Fey Flatware Wondrous item, ? This golden set of flatware comes from the collection of a fey noble who enjoyed the monstrous insects that inhabited the land. Using the set while eating provides different benefits. Once a creature has gained the benefits of one utensil, they are immune to the effects for 24 hours. Beetle Spoon. Using this spoon while eating grants the user 1 hit point at the start of each of its turns (10 hit points each minute) for the next hour. wtf is that bug?. Using this fork while eating grants the user the ability to add an additional 1d4 to their melee damage rolls for the next hour. Dragonfly Knife. Using this knife while eating grants the user an additional 5 feet of movement for the next hour.
Fork and Knife Trident and Scimitar, rare A pair of weapons named Fork (a trident with the finesse and light properties) and Knife (a scimitar with the thrown (20/60) and versatile (1d8) properties). When a creature hits another creature with an attack using Fork, any attacks made by Knife on that creature on the same turn has advantage, and the creature wielding Knife can use its reaction to make an attack against the same creature. A creature holding Fork or Knife can speak their command words as a bonus action to summon the other weapon to its free hand, provided that it is within 60 ft and and there is no other creature wielding it (unless it allows it). Alternatively, a creature holding either weapon can speak its command word as a bonus action to throw it to the creature holding the other weapon if it is within 60ft, who can catch it with its free hand.
Frying Pain Weapon (club) Rare The Frying Pain has 4 charges and regains all expended charges after you use it to cook a meal over the course of a short or long rest. This +1 weapon also gives you +1 to your AC. Whenever you hit a creature with a melee attack, you may expended any number of charges to deal an extra 1d4 fire or bludgeoning damage per charge expended this way. Any meal cooked in this pan grants 1d4 temporary hitpoints
I'd love to see a wooden spoon as a wand or wondrous item, that can be used to smack stuff but also help make awesome stew/such.
So in one of my games we have a character that's very similar to baba yaga, but she's a nice old lady rather than a terrifying witch hag thing. She adopts orphans, rather than eating children. When Tasha's cauldron came out, we noticed that it had baba yaga's mortar and pestle, which has a myriad of really powerful effects. Our inclusion of this into the game was to say that baba yaga, while being super powerful, was also super forgetful. She would often use her super powerful mortar and pestle in place of her mundane one. I love the idea of a super mundane item, that just has an insane number of powerful effects. Examples could include a wooden spoon that deals 2d6 fire damage, 2d6 psychic damage, and 2d6 bludgeoning. I'm envisioning the origin as a old lady who mildly pops her grandchildren on the bottom with the spoon to shoo them out of the kitchen while she's trying to cook. But when she turns on someone with her spoon, she can deal insane damage. Another possibility would be something like a frying pan that could be used both as a weapon and to cook a meal while casting heroes feast, like once per week or something.
A mushroom that, when picked, retains it's properties for 7 days. As an action you can consume the mushroom and be subjected to the enlarge effects of the enlarge/reduce spell.
A quick growing mushroom that tastes like dirt but provides enough sustenance for 1 person per day.
