Elite Workshop Day 1 — What kind of item should we make?

Hey heroes! It's time to make a new item together!

Please vote on a direction and leave a comment with an item idea that's as refined or as vague as you like.

Three or more of your commented suggestions relating to the winning item direction will be up for a follow-up vote tomorrow!

Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!

Let's make something exciting together! See you back here tomorrow!

Keep on adventuring!

A goblet for potions - you can let the potion rest in it for 10 minutes while a cleric or paladin offers a prayer. The postion's heling is doubled. Up to 4 creatures can drink from the goblet and share its healing (spliting the total healing as they wish).

**Strategos Crest** *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)* This tarnished helm still bears a noble, feathered crest and the symbol of a legendary commander. When you roll for initiative and are not surprised, all allies within 30ft may immediately move up to their speed as long as they end this movement adjacent to another ally. Additionally, you may forgo one attack made as part of the attack action to shout a word of command to an ally within 30 ft, allowing them to make an attack as a reaction. **Potion of Eternal Exchange** *Potion, very rare* This potion, stored in a heavy bottle of smoked glass, appears to be blood. Its magic is activated once the flesh of a dead humanoid is placed into the bottle, which immediately begins to boil and emit a caustic, iron-like smell. This effect remains for 1 minute before the potion once again becomes inert. If you drink the potion during this time you immediately die and your body is reshaped into the creature whose flesh was placed into the potion. If the creature is willing, it may return to life as by the *true resurrection* spell in your body. This effect fails if drunk by an unwilling creature. Any creature killed by this potion cannot be returned to life except by a *wish* or *true resurrection* spell. **Symbol of the Undeafeated** *Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a creature with 17 or more strength)* This gaudy gem-encrusted belt bears the emblem of a legendary gladiatorial tournament held in an extraplanar realm. While wearing it, you gain the following benefits: -When you make an unarmed strike, you can roll a d8 in place of its normal damage, and it counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming damage resistance. -You can grapple creatures up to two sizes larger than you. -When you take the attack action, you can make an unarmed strike or attempt to grapple a target as a bonus action. -You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature you are grappling. -When a creature starts its turns grappled by you, it takes damage equal to your unarmed strike. -If a creature you are grappling attempts to use teleportation or interplanar travel to escape you or attempts to change form, it must make a DC 17 Charisma saving throw or the effect fails. **Candle of Comfort** *Wondrous magic item, uncommon* When you spend 1 minute within 30 ft of this candle while it is lit you regain 1 hit point. If you leave this radius at any point during this period or if the candle is blown out the time required resets. The candle can be lit for a total of 1 hour in increments of 1 minute before it melts away entirely. If the remaining stub is consumed it acts as a standard *healing potion.*

From an Altar Orb of Summoning Wondrous Item, Legendary This orb is used in rituals to bind departing souls into the mortal realm. While this orb is on your person, you can use it to cast the Resurrection spell on a creature that has been dead for more than 1 day, ignoring material components. The creature's restored body and soul are then stored in suspended animation within the orb, and the orb cannot be used to cast the Resurrection spell again. As an action, you can speak the the orb's command word, causing the orbs to disappear to free the creature within. The resurrected creature appears in the nearest unoccupied space within 5 feet of you, and must then succeed on a DC 17 Charisma Saving Throw. A willing creature can choose to fail this saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is permanently charmed by you. While charmed in this way, the creature regards you with great fondness and loyalty, is willing to fight for you and put itself in harms way in your behalf. This charm cannot be dispelled by anything short of a Wish spell.

An altar cloth made with silver and can be activated against an undead or lycan, restraining them similar to a Rug of Smothering and has them take d6s of radiant damage until they are free

For the pun... **Alter Ego** A tablet that allows you to spend 10 minutes giving a powerful speech 1/day, replicating the inspiring leader feat except you cannot select yourself. Instead, you gain temp hp equal to your charisma mod x the number of creatures who gained hp from this ability.
