Elite Workshop Day 1 — What kind of item should we make?
Hey heroes! It's time to make a new item together!
Please vote on a direction and leave a comment with an item idea that's as refined or as vague as you like.
Three or more of your commented suggestions relating to the winning item direction will be up for a follow-up vote tomorrow!
Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!
Let's make something exciting together! See you back here tomorrow!
Keep on adventuring!

You Naganna Hide From Me Serpentine hood made of Naga hide. Can cast detect magic x/day, which also reveals if books contain any spells. Maybe a passive language proficiency for abyssal.
**Naga-bound Tome** *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a wizard)* This spellbook, bound in spirit naga hide, strengthens mind-affecting enchantments inscribed in it. The DC for your enchantment and illusion spells is increased by 1. Additionally, the book has 5 charges. When you cast an enchantment or illusion spell, you can expend 1 charge to increase the spell's level by 1. The tome regains 1d6 - 1 charges at dusk.
**Spirit-skin Gloves** *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)* These heavy gloves are made from the distinctive hide of a spirit naga, and have their poisonous essence sewn into them. The gloves have 10 charges, and regain 1d8 + 2 at dusk. When you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can expend up to 3 charges to deal an additional 1d8 poison damage for each charge expended. Additionally, when you take poison damage, you can use your reaction to gain resistance to poison damage until the start of your next turn and regain 1 expended charge.
**Cloak of the Serpent Superior** *Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)* This heavy scaled cloak is formed from the hood of a spirit naga, and contains traces of both its power and its malice. You gain resistance to poison damage and advantage on saves against poison and the charmed condition. Additionally, the cloak has 7 charges. As an action, you can expend 1 or more charges from the cloak to cast the following spells: charm person (1 charge), detect thoughts (2 charges), hold person (2 charges), dominate person (5 charges). The cloak regains 1d6 + 1 charges at dusk. ***Curse.*** The cloak is cursed, and attuning to it extends the curse to you. You are unwilling to part with the cloak while cursed in this way. In addition, you gain the following flaw: "I am unforgiving to those who have sleighted me in even the smallest way, and will act on this whenever possible."
Spirit Naga Egg Wondrous Item, rare This grey egg has red spots that glow and shift across its surface. While incredibly rare and dangerous to procure, these eggs are famous for providing long lasting nourishment and even the occasional magic power. This egg provides a fulfilling, but chewy meal that nourishes one person completely. After consuming the egg, the person who ate it will continue to fill up their stomach with this nourishing meal every 1d6 days (rolling a new die after each meal comes to fruition). Additionally, after filling up in this way, the creature becomes able to cast one of the three following cantrips at random until they get their next meal from this effect, at which point they swap that cantrip for a new random cantrip: mage hand, minor illusion, ray of frost. Spirit Naga Cowl Wondrous Item, uncommon This fine grey and red cowl is made from the skinned hide of a spirit naga, harvested before the creature was able to return to life, with a hood that gives you the eerie veneer of the creature it came from. While wearing this cowl you only need verbal components to cast your spells unless the spell’s components have a defined monetary value. Additionally, you are immune to poisons you swallow and your saliva becomes caustic enough to allow you to spit poison as if it were a Poison, Basic (vial) or make an unarmed strike by biting with your teeth that acts as if it has a Poison, Basic (vial) applied to them.
Spirit Naga's Gaze Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement) This mask has 2 charges, and regains all expended charges at dawn. When a creature you can see ends its turn within 30 feet of you while you are wearing this mask, you can use your reaction to expend 1 charge to cast Dominate Person (DC 15) on the creature if it can also see you. Once a creature has been targeted by this effect, it is immune to it for 24 hours.
Spirit Naga's Headdress Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement) This headdress has 7 charges, and regains all expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing this headdress, you know the Mage Hand and Minor Illusion spells. You can expend charges as an action to cast the following spells: charm person (2 charges), sleep (2 charges), and hold person (3 charges). While caster spells from this headdress, you only need to use Verbal components. Whenever you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can spend charges up to your proficiency bonus to deal an additional 1d8 poison damage for each charge spent.
For the Steam Mephit. A magically conjurable sauna that when used during a long rest can remove all points of exhaustion. Vague, but I like the concept of having PCs in towels enjoying a sauna atop a snow-capped mountain.
Ooh like a pocket sauna? Thats a sweet idea!
For the Spirit Naga, could do an item based off of the League of Legends item Guardian Angel. Amulet of the Naga, Requires attunement. After being reduced to 0 hit points, you enter a catatonic state, your character can it recover any HP, but will fully in 1d4 + 2 rounds. This effect will be useable again in 1d6 days. not sure on the number, but an idea!
I was thinking a similar idea! Perhaps these numbers? Amulet of the Spirit Naga Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement) When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you enter a catatonic state in which you cannot recover any hit points and you are immune to all damage. At the start of each of your turns, you automatically succeed on your death saving throw, and after three successes, you automatically regain 10d10+20 hit points. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again for 1d6 days. I put 10d10+20 which is the Spirit Naga's own hit points, which is still frankly a lot lol but Guardian Angel doesn't really always recover the owner's full hit points either. So it should feel like it's just a fragment of the Spirit Naga's power, while still being significant!
