Elite Workshop Day 1 — What kind of item should we make?

Hey heroes! It's time to make a new item together!

Please vote on a direction and leave a comment with an item idea that's as refined or as vague as you like.

Three or more of your commented suggestions relating to the winning item direction will be up for a follow-up vote tomorrow!

Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!

Let's make something exciting together! See you back here tomorrow!

Keep on adventuring!

**Regalia of the Ruiner** *Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a spellcaster)* A sedona-hued sherwani with regal black patterns and a crimson silk waist sash lined with 10 golden rings. While wearing this regal attire, your Charisma increases by 2, to a maximum of 24. In addition, you can't be affected or detected by spells of 1st level or lower unless you wish to be, and you has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects. ***Deceiver.*** Your lies are laced with subtle charms and enchanting magics. You gain a +5 bonus to Deception. ***Infiltrator.*** You know the spell *disguise self* and can cast it at will from the regalia. When you cast the spell in this way, it cannot be dispelled. ***Beguiler.*** When you cast an enchantment spell of 1st level or higher that targets one or more creatures, you can have it target one additional creature. ***Distresser.*** You gain the ability to curse a target with nothing but a gentle caress. As an action, choose one creature within 5 feet of you that you can touch. That creature must succeed a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be cursed. The magical curse takes effect whenever the target takes a short or long rest and is not within 30 feet of you, filling the target's thoughts with horrible images and dreams. The cursed target gains no benefit from finishing a short or long rest. The curse lasts until it is lifted by a remove curse spell or similar magic. Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. ***Curse.*** This item is cursed. Attuning to it curses you until you are targeted by a remove curse spell or similar magic. As long as you remain cursed, your natural face becomes sharp and angular, with black, whisker-like marks appearing on your cheeks. You gain catlike eyes and nails, and the air around you is permeated by the scent of brimstone.

The Fiend's Retribution Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement) This broach offers a unique protection, granted to it by the same devils that created the Rakshasas. When a creature within 5 feet of you would reduce you to 0 hit points but not kill you outright, you can immediately use a reaction to make one melee weapon attack against that creature before going unconscious. If your attack reduces the target to 0 hit points, you instead drop to 1 hit point. Once this ability has been used, it can't do so again until the next dawn.

The Fiend's Pot Wondrous item, uncommon A crooked smoking pipe that always gives off an acrid smell of brimstone and sulfur as if from the Hells. You can use the pipe to cast the detect thoughts or disguise self spells at will, provided you use 100 gp worth of fine tobacco each time which the spell consumes. Each time the spell is cast this way, make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, you become poisoned for 8 hours.

Seems like a buffed cloak of protection, and while it may be a little op at first glance it makes me think for what I could do with similar creatures that I've made.

Blade of the Rakshasa Weapon (any sword), Very Rare (requires attunement) The blades of this weapon were forged from the claws of a Rakshasa, and still retain some of its magic. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon has 6 charges, and regains 1d4+2 charges at dawn. You can expend a charge to cast the following spells: detect thoughts (1 charge), disguise self (1 charge), detect magic (1 charge), invisibility (2 charges). Rakshasan Magic Immunity. While attuned to this weapon, you have advantage on saving throws against spells of 6th level or lower. Additionally, when you are affected by a spell of 3rd level or lower, you can expend 1 charge as a reaction to not be affected by it instead.

Magebane Blood Poison Poison, very rare This twisted concoction is made from the tainted blood of slain rakshasas and powdered antimagical metal. A creature subjected to this poison must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save it takes 2d6 poison damage and is poisoned for 1 minute. A poisoned creature cannot cast spells or benefit from spells of 4th level or lower cast on them. On a successful save the creature takes half damage and is not poisoned.
