Workshop Week 24 — What kind of item should we make?
Hey heroes!
Get ready for the next Monday Night Elite Workshop poll! Please vote on a direction below and comment with a general idea of an item you have that would fit the direction you voted for! There will be a second poll tomorrow featuring up to three of your commented suggestions using the winning direction from the poll today.
I'll be going live tomorrow night, January 6th at 7:30 pm EST (GMT-5). You'll receive an email tomorrow evening with the exclusive Picarto link for you to come watch and participate! We'll figure out the exact mechanics together on stream before (and possibly while) I make the illustration for the most voted on item!
Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!
Let's make something exciting together! See you tomorrow!

Spectacular Performer's Yo-yo Wondrous Item, uncommon The Spectacular Performer's Yo-yo, or S.P.Y. for short, is an item commonly used by espionage experts who disguise themselves as travelling performers. Once per day, you can cast the Disguise Self spell through the Yo-yo. While disguised, you have advantage on Deception and Performance checks that make use of the Yo-yo. The Yo-yo can also be used as an improvised weapon. If you are proficient with the Performance or Sleight of Hand skills, you are proficient in using this toy as an improvised weapon. It has the reach and finesse properties, and it deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage on a hit.
Turvey top, common - a wooden top that can be spun with a length of sting. When it spins, it creates a zoetrope effect.
Deck of Dreams Wondrous Item, very rare This deck of cards are intricately designed, yet curiously have a blank mirror-like face. This deck contains 1d12 + 8 cards. Once per day, you can use a card to cast the Dream spell, using the card as the material component. When you do, the details of the dream are completely recorded in the card, and that card loses the ability to cast the Dream spell. As an action, you can take a card that has a recorded dream and play the recorded dream.
Diviner's Dice Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement (by a Wizard?)) This set of dice is favored by wizards and other practitioners of divination. Whenever you finish a long rest, roll a d4, d6, and d8, and record these results. Whenever you or a creature within 30 feet of you makes an ability check, saving throw, attack roll, or damage roll, you can use one of the recorded numbers to either add or subtract to the result. Once a number has been used, remove it from the list of results. Whenever you finish a short rest, you can reroll any of the dice that have not been spent yet. All recorded results are lost when you finish a long rest. While attuned to this item, you are proficient with Dice Sets, and have advantage on ability rolls using this Dice Set.
