Workshop Week 17 — What kind of item should we make?

Hey heroes!

Get ready for the next Wednesday Night Elite Workshop poll! Please vote on a direction below and comment with a general idea of an item you have that would fit the direction you voted for!  There will be a second poll tomorrow featuring up to three of your commented suggestions using the winning direction from the poll today.

I'll be going live tomorrow night, November 18th at 7:30 pm EST (GMT-5). You'll receive an email tomorrow evening with the exclusive Youtube link for you to come watch and participate! We'll figure out the exact mechanics together on stream before (and possibly while) I make the illustration for the most voted on item!

Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!

Let's make something exciting together! See you tomorrow!

Contingent Clock Wondrous Item, Very Rare (required attunement) This clock (maybe a wristwatch?) has 12 charges and 1d12 charges at midnight. You can use the clock's magic to turn back time for a split second to aid or thwart attacks. Whenever you miss with an attack roll, you can expend a charge to reroll the attack roll. Alternatively, if an attack would hit you, you can expend a charge to have the attack be rerolled. In either case, the attack roll keeps any advantage, disadvantage, or other modifiers (such as Bardic Inspiration) that affected the previous roll, and you must keep the new roll. Each attack can only be affected by this effect once. You can expend 12 charges to cast Contingency with this watch. Once you do, you can't do so again until 12 days have passed.

Time Dilation Talisman Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement) On your turn (no action required), or as a reaction when you take damage, you can activate this talisman to cause your perception of time to temporarily warp. When you use this talisman, you cannot take any damage and cannot recover hit points until the end of your next turn. At the end of your next turn, you take any damage you would have taken and recover any hit points you would have recovered during the time since you last activated this amulet. Once you use this talisman in this way, you cannot use it again until the next dawn. Some say that time is relative. Maybe so, as you feel that you receive their blows at a time different they were dealt to you.

Chrono Grenade: wondrous item, rare Exploding the grenade acts as a Time Stop spell cast by you. In addition, each target in a 30' range of where the grenade is activated, rolls a d8 and has varied results based on the following table. A drawback to the construction of the Chrono Grenade, is that when it is activated, the user is always considered 'in range' no matter how far it is thrown and must also roll on the table after the Time Stop effects have passed. Target Effects Table: 1) Slow Spell 2) Age 2d10 years 3) Grow younger by 2d10 years 4) Stunned for one turn 5) Disintegrate spell 6) Prismatic Spray 7) On the target's next turn, it may spend 10' of movement (up to 4x) to make a melee attack for each 10' of movement spent this way. 8) Target gains the effects of a Time Stop, immediately after the original user. Follow Initiative order if multiple individuals roll this. "The only thing more stupid than throwing dice is throwing a ti-" the sorceress began but she never completed the phrase. The eager young man had already released the pin on the grenade. When time finally resumed for her, all that was left of her apprentice was a pile of ashes streaked across the floor as if he had been trying to run out the door. No one can outrun time though.

__**Chronofragmental Talisman**__ *Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)* This talisman has an ever-ticking clock within, always showing the current time of day and cycle of the moon. This immaculate clockwork construct has capabilities and splicing time itself for short periods of time, and allowing the wearer to peek into other timelines. While you're attuned to this item, your gain all the benefits of the *Keen Mind* feat. As a free action on your turn, you can activate the talisman to temporarily split time, allowing you to describe two different turns of actions. One of these turns does not affect the other in any way, and are held on mirror planes of existence. Once you have completed both turns and your DM has shown you the outcomes of each, you may choose one of those realities to pursue and keep. The other turn is disregarded as if it had never happened. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again for one month.

Hands of time (long sword and short sword) these two swords are expertly enchanted with the flow of time. If you but these swords on the ground they will move to show the current time, with North being 12:00. Also, these swords have 10(?) collective charges which you can use to cast haste from the short sword or slow from the long sword.

Ethereal Cocoon Wondrous magic item, rare This heavy white blanket is designed to be wrapped completely around you, and is always faintly cold to the touch. If you take a long rest wrapped in this blanket, you shift into the ethereal plane. You can only see into the material plane very faintly through the fabric of the blanket, you cannot be seen from the material plane, and you cannot return until the a full 8 hours have passed. Curse. Using the blanket is dangerous, and can leave you stranded in the ethereal plane. If you use the cocoon for multiple consecutive long rest, for every rest after the first there is a cumulative 10% chance that the blanket will return to the material plane without you. This chance is reset after you spend a long rest without the blanket.

Dayfinder's Glass Wondrous magic item, common When you look through this spyglass you see the sky as if it were night, including the current phase of the moon and star positions. This also ignores cloud cover, making the sky appear clear regardless of the weather. Everything else appears as it would at night, dark and obscured.

Shelter of Affluence Wondrous magic item, very rare This tent is made of fine, heavy, richly embroidered velvet, its patterns interlaced with cleverly concealed runes. It takes ten minutes to set up this tent, which takes up a 10x10 foot space. When the tent is set up, it becomes an entrance to an extradimensional space. The interior is comfortable, dry, and well-lit. This spaced is composed of four rooms, each 20x20 feet, with layout and features determined when the tent is created. These rooms are 10 feet tall, and the tent can store any amount of material placed within it. It also takes 1 minute to take down the tent, after which its connection to the extradimensional space is severed. Creatures inside the tent when it is disconnected have air for a number of hours equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures inside.

Bound/Rebound Lenses Wondrous magic item, rare (requires attunement) When looking through these finely-wrought bifocal glasses you see all creatures as a range of motion, appearing both ahead and behind of where they are. These glasses have 5 charges. As a reaction when a creature ends its turn within 120 ft of you, you can move that creature backwards or forwards along its timeline. Unwilling creatures must make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or be subjected to one of the following effects. If you choose to move it backwards, the creature is returned to the location where it started its turn. If you choose to move it forwards, the creature can move up to its speed, but loses its movement on its next turn. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Chronometer watch that can fast forward or rewind targets and what not, or something that lets you peer through time, also the visuals of these should be brass and crystal like glass
