Workshop Week 05 — What kind of item should we make?

Hey Heroes!

Get ready for the next Wednesday Night Elite Workshop poll! I'll be going live tomorrow night, August 7th,  at 7:30 pm EDT (GMT-4). You'll receive an email tomorrow evening with the exclusive Youtube link for you to come watch and participate!

Please vote on a direction below and comment with a general idea of an item you have that would fit the direction you voted for!  There will be a second poll tomorrow featuring up to three of your commented suggestions using the winning direction from the poll today.

We'll figure out the exact mechanics together on stream before (and possibly while) I make the illustration for the most voted on item!

Remember that this will be an official Saddlebag item and will not credit anyone for the ideas generated through this process. Please only bring ideas you're comfortable with sharing to the workshop!

The first Workshop of each month is a chance to choose a runner-up from the previous month. In addition, the livestream event will be free to attend, although you'll still have had all the say in what gets made!

Let's make something!

Feywildt: - A revitalizing quarterstaff. When used on withering plants, it revitalizes and makes them healthy. When used on healthy plants, it accelerates growth (of fruits, flowers, etc). When used on creatures, it allows them to spend hit dice to regain hit points. - A moon-themed wand. Allows the user to shoot cantrip-like blasts of moonlight (maybe similar to firebolt but moon-themed). Also allows user to cast moonbeam. - Longbow of Unstable Elements. Generates own magical ammunition. Deals 2d4 damage instead of 1d8. User can choose damage type based on rolls on d4s (e.g., 1 - Fire, 2 - Lightning, 3 - Cold, 4 - Radiant) similar to Chaos Bolt. If double numbers are rolled on the d4, deals max damage of 8 instead, and ignores resistance to damage type.

I am rather fond of Matt Colville's Servitor Charts and the idea that some items can summon beings of power, so I'd love to see a pendant, or other jewelry, that can summon a fey creature to assist the user (either socially or in combat), and a random wild magic effect occurs every time a fey is summoned, because the very nature of the Feywild is chaotic and wild.

Feywild item, possibly a cursed item that feeds off of the prevailing emotions in the environment surrounding the wielder

I'd love a fey weapon based on Chastiefol

Dwarven blacksmithing gauntlets or dwarven mining goggles used to appraise ores/gems

I’m still firmly in the camp that there should be a Dwarven feywild item :) based on the Dwarven penchant for greed and Ill tempers, maybe Pendant of Crafter’s Fury? Or a wand? Something that makes the target super angry and greedy!
