Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Silver Preserver's Resolve — A scimitar decorated with the scales of a guardian naga. You gain protections against poisons and can spend charges to call down a heavenly pillar of fire or create a wave of poison. Additionally, if you fall to 0 hit points or less, the sword expends all remaining charges to stablize you but you appear to be dead to others for a minute.

2) Jabberjaw Amulet — While wearing this mouth-shaped pendant, you retain the ability to speak normally while subjugated to an effect that changes your form. You, however, still cannot cast spells in the changed form.

3) Totem of the Fighting Spirit — An intricately carved wood tower divided into three seconds. As an action, you can plant the totem into the ground and all friendly creatures nearby gain a bonus to some of their saving throws for the next 1 minute.

4) Railriders — These heavy boots have been modified with hidden wheels of a minecart. While the wheels are deployed, you walking speed increases, or becomes doubled if following cart rails or similar structures, while becoming prone to being knocked over or moved against your will. You can also charge along a straight line, dealing damage and knocking anything in the way prone.

5) Bloodbound Blade — A life-drinking shortsword that allows you to spend Hit Dice to empower its attacks and damage rolls. While empowered, you can transform the weapon into your choice of a longsword, rapier, or greatsword.

6) Gun Belt for the Quick and the Dead — A black leather gun belt and holster with necrotic runes etched into it. Any firearm drawn from the belt can be reloaded by touching the weapon to the belt, and at the start of combat, you can speak the command word "Draw" to have your weapon jump to your hand from your holster once per day.

7) Venatio's Horn — A brass horn bearing the images of gladiators battling great beasts. You can use it to create a special arena within a cylinder of your choice, which magically prevents a creature from leaving that space. You can also use the horn to summon a lion within the cylinder.
