This hat features a single gold piece as a bolo tie for its whiplike hatband. While wearing it, you gain a +1 bonus to any saving throw you make against a trap. You also gain a +1 bonus to any ability check you make to discover or recover a piece of treasure you know about, such as picking the lock to a treasury or inquiring about a magical item's whereabouts.

In addition, when you fail a saving throw against a trap while wearing the hat, you can use your reaction to reroll the saving throw. You must use the new result. This property can't be used again until the next dawn.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of following the map and digging where it says X. But, most of the time, it requires no small amount of ingenuity, danger, and luck. Just don't get killed by the blow darts, snakes, or pitfalls, and you'll find yourself all the richer.
And of course, never go without your hat.
