Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!
Hey heroes!
Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.
You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!
You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.
Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Causticoal Sieve — A crude sieve that's been repurposed into a buckler shield. You are proficient with this shield if you're also skilled in certain trades, gain a bonus to AC despite its shape, and can potentially create a usable piece of causticoal which acts like vial of acid.
2) The Kitchen Sink — This musket has a comically wide flared end. It can fire standard ammunition, but can also be loaded with materials at the start of the day. You can violently expel those materials as an action, blasting them in a cone to damage your foes.
3) Dune Belt — A leather belt with an amber-encased scorpion featured on its belt buckle. While wearing the belt, you can speak the command word to create a spectral scorpion tail, allowing you use it to make poisonous attacks for the next minute.
4) Hushwing Moccasins — Magical shoes that silence your movement, boost stealth checks, and let you avoid opportunity attacks when striking enemies up close. They also grant Rogues extra mobility by allowing them to Hide after using Cunning Action to dash around attacks.
5) Avalanche Hammer — Crafted by giants who live in the Everglacier, the head of the hammer is comprised of blue ice. The hammer gains charges each time you hit a hostile creature, granting you additional bonus such as dealing cold damage and the ability to create a massive avalanche. Being a barbarian grants additional bonuses.
6) Warband Pigments — A small tin containing a variety of face paints that when worn provides advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks. Additionally, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, but not outright killed, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. A half-orc gains advantage on their first attack roll after this or their Relentless Endurance is used.
7) Liulian's Hexsatchel — A needlepoint embroidered component satchel that infuses up to 6 stored darts, causing them to deal necrotic damage on hit, as well as an additional effect such as reducing the creature's speed, poisoning it, or causing it to fall asleep.
Keep on adventuring!
