Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Helm of the Seadevil — This odd, leathery anglerfish helm lets you see through magical darkness and dispel magical darkness. It has charges allowing you to cast darkness, hypnotic pattern, or phantasmal killer. You can also use it to cause crushing deep-sea pressure in an area around you.

2) Aeronaut’s Bowler Hat — A bowler hat reinforced with horizontal metal bands and small vertical pipes along the crown. Flipping a switch on the inside causes a pair of handles to extend out the sides and a small hot air balloon to inflate from the crown. You gain a fly speed and can levitate while the balloon is inflated.

3) Spear of the Minotaur — The head of the spear features hooked horns to latch onto its targets. When you hit a target with a ranged attack with this weapon, you can expend a charge to immediately rush towards the target, dealing damage to anything in your path and the spear returns to your hand.

4) Starlight Crusader Blade — This sentient longsword has a blade made from the night sky itself. The blade can pierce through space, allowing you to attack creatures up to 20 feet away. The blade is happy to converse with whoever holds it, seeking to instill its own understanding of laws based on the cycles of the moon and stars.

5) Treasure Hunter’s Lash — This long, dark leather whip is favored among treasure hunters and has an additional 5 foot reach. Once per day, you can use the whip to disarm a target or teleport yourself to a space within 30 feet of you.

6) Rising Turret — This three-barreled firearm was built for defense. You can speak this musket's command word allows you to hover for a short time to deliver stronger attacks.

7) Gauntlets of Divine Grace — These leather gauntlets are inlaid with intricate gold plating. When worn by a paladin, you can use the gauntlets to cast spells including aid, heroism, and shield of faith. In addition, you can expend charges to refill your spent Lay On Hands pool.
