Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Nightingale's Serenade — This small bejeweled nightingale automaton can be wound up and told to sing a sweet song. Its first song stabilizes all creatures within range while the second song gain the effects of the lesser restoration spell.

2) Impulsum Butterfly — This brass clockwork butterfly occasionally flaps its stained glass wings. It has charges that can be expended to force a target to reroll a saving throw. Alternatively, you can expend all charges to shatter the butterfly’s wings in a thunderous crash to treat the result of an attack roll, ability check or saving throw as a 1 or a 20. Once used, it takes 3 days for the glass wings to slowly reform.

3) Durheim Censer — This incense censor can detect different creature types, and the smoke it produces change color depending on the nearest creature to it.

4) Hushwing Poncho — This lightweight poncho is embroidered with an owl feather design. If your armor would cause you to roll Stealth checks at disadvantage, wearing the poncho would allow you to roll them without disadvantage. You also gain a bonus to Perception checks and initiative. If you are a rogue, you may use your Cunning Action dash to fly, as the poncho lifts you.

5) Silver Tongue Ring — A silver tongue ring that magically binds itself to your skin as if it were an actual piercing. While wearing it, once per day, you can use the Subtle Spell metamagic option. Additionally, if it's an enchantment spell and the target isn't hostile, it has disadvantage on the save.

6) Alchemist's Cocktail Shaker — A cocktail shaker designed by an alchemist to enhance beverages. You can combine two or more potions into this shaker and mix them together to create a magical cocktail. Drinking the resulting potion requires a Constitution saving throw, increasing in DC depending on how many potions were combined. Failure requires you to roll to gain a random negative drawback, otherwise you gain the benefits of the potions that were used in the mixture.

7) Breathing Room — A well-worn and battered firearm used by experienced lawmen. When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can expend a charge to either push your target back or to propel yourself backward without provoking opportunity attacks.

Keep on adventuring!
