Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Riptide Greaves — These leather-bound greaves are each adorned with a single large green fin. While wearing them underwater you gain a swim speed, if you already have one it increases instead. Additionally, you can expend the greaves charges to cast a variety of spells from them.

2) Armor of the Grotesque — This stone-like armor is adorned with ghoulish motifs. You can doff the armor as an action, giving it wings and flying off to a point within 30 feet of you where it transforms into a gargoyle under your control for 1 hour.

3) Wrath’s Bounty — This heavy coin grants you advantage on checks to gather information or track your quarry. You can focus your senses to learn the general direction of your mark and gain a bonus in combat against it. The coin always returns to you if you ever part or lose it before you eliminate your mark.

4) Hothead Hammer — When you roll a 20 on an attack roll, the hammer casts the fireball spell at 5th level, centered on the target of the hit. Once this effect is used, it crumbles into ash.

5) Tome of Hidden Ways — This unassuming book is adorned with a stylized keyhole and appears to be a manual on creating secrets doors and passages. You can place the book on a bookshelf to replicate the effects of the passwall spell, opening the bookshelf as a door.

6) Dollhouse of Dreams — A hand crafted dollhouse that can replicate the inside of a known building. It can transform into a perfect replica of a building, control certain small objects in it, or allow you to see and interact with the known building via a spectral summoned toy.

7) Thunderous Cajon — This hollow wooden box is a percussion instrument meant to be played while seated upon it. By beating the drum, you can gain advantage on Intimidation checks or expend charges to deal maximum thunder damage from your spells. While seated on the cajon, you gain a bonus to AC and can cast thunderwave as a reaction if an attack misses you.
