So, what to do with the next patch?
I'm gonna be real with you boys. You guys won't be seeing the next patch for at least another year or two depending on mod traffic and work speed. So, here lies a question;
Do you prefer to have unfinished, unstable stage-by-stage test patch releases... or trust me on this one?

Closed beta Is a better choice.
We belive in you. Your work shows care and dedication to this mod.
I do believe that a close beta is good for rooting out bugs as there are more people in to make strange cases of playing that would help discover bugs, but I also trust Milky and his team to cook this up!
I will wait 10 years for any update on this. The storytelling, waifus, ship design, all that, its fucking awesome. I believe!
Mmmm, planning on making an entire UAF sector are we~? I stand by whatever you decide to do, Milky, your mod is amazing, if it wasn't for it and IroncladLion's introduction video, I doubt I would be such a passionate member of the Starsector community. I hope to see it flourish.
As extremely impatient as I am, I do admit that the satisfaction of a mega patch is extraordinary when it comes to the UAF. Do your thing with 0 worries and take the time you need, we all have faith in you <3
Patience is where it's at.
I agree with everyone sentiments here. You and your team have built something amazing and gained the respect and praise for all of your hard work. Best to trust yall what has be proven to let yall work and provide support and feedback when asked and as needed.
The only thing better is seeing you make your own game with the work you've done. I think we can all agree go at your own pace, so you can still enjoy it. We can wait.
Given you’ve committed to not doing crunch and making the final leg of this mod’s 10+ year journey the best it can be, having to deal with the extra stress of public beta releases might not be worth it. While QA is important, I’m sure the people on the bakery discord would work fine for that. And besides, this is your mod. More frequent updates on twitter and here would be cool but don’t force yourself to. In the words of Wiseman: Relax and do your thang.
If we already trust you enough to support you, I don't see why we can't wait for you to finish doing your job in peace (also, this way you can adapt better to the next patch that Alex will release).
