Home Movies - Part 36 - Preview

Any professional videographer can tell you, quality camera gear isn't cheap. The Tweebs, however, are hardly professionals; the duo is completely self-taught. Through trial and error, and after reviewing many YouTube tutorials, they have become competent at placing a camera in the right place at the right time. As for the quality of their gear...keeping in mind that they are also the founders, directors, editors, and marketers at Hicka-Bicka-Boo Productions...they have to be a little thrifty when it comes to the latest and greatest in shooting equipment.

With all of the primary cameras usually tied up in the major sequences, the Tweebs usually pull out an action cam to shoot their b-roll footage. Nothing beats a little camera that can get right into the middle of the action. Something cheap that they don't mind getting wet and gooey, or banged around by flying appendages.

Tim: (mono-tonal) Action cam, start recording.

The cheap camera they'd chosen, some knock-off brand acquired from a foreign version of Amazon, lets out an off-putting series of beeps, followed by a tinny, robotic voice.

Camera: Command not recognized.

That's what you get for buying camera gear from Temu...at the $5 tier level. :D
