Multitasking - Part 5 - Preview

Kim and Ann look up from their kitchen duties, the headlights of Ned's rental car shining through the kitchen window as he pulls into the driveway. Momentarily flustered, Ann dances between the counter and breakfast nook table, making certain that all of the dinner places are set. Kim observes for a few seconds, a little smirk in the corner of her mouth, watching as the usually cool, calm, and collected woman darts from one end of the kitchen to the other.

Telling her Ned's confession of their one-time fling all of those years ago seems to have flustered her to no end...and Kim fully intends to use that to her advantage. A moment later, the doorbell rings, and both Kim and Ann head to the front door to greet their guest. A quick look at her hair and makeup in the entryway mirror, and Ann reaches out for the doorknob.

Kim: You, uhhh... Are you gonna greet our guest with those?

Kim points, giving her the same little smirk as before...yeah, she's never seen her quite like this before. Ann glances downward at her oven mitt-covered hands and simply blinks, then frantically flings them off. Kim stifles a snort of a laugh, watching as her mother kicks the offending mittens behind a nearby plant stand. Closing her eyes, the elder Possible takes in a long inhale to compose herself...then, again, reaches for the doorknob.

Ann: Well, hello, stranger! Come on in!

Yeah, the mittens are off...at the $5 tier level. :D
