Mega64 Record Club Ep. 3 - Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul (Album #373)

Pretty sure someone had Walk On By by Isaac Hayes from Hot Buttered Soul on the GrooveShark back in the day.

Album was good, but I'm not too into the genre myself. One listen was enough.

I'll be curious to see if Shawn checks out the original list afterward to compare, cause this new one is a little. . .messed up.

Loving this series!

Agreed on that intro being too long and I unfortunately could never enjoy hot line bling After the Gold Rush is a pretty good album too

I listen to each album one time through. Shawn does so much homework that he makes me feel lazy.

I enjoyed this album but totally agree with all the points you make. The monologues too long and the songs overstay their welcome. I would buy the record but i wouldnt just sit and listen. Definitely music to just vibe to in the background. As for Hotline Bling, eugh… lol

Don't worry, Shawn, I don't think you're alone about Hotline Bling lol

100% agree with that last song lol

Small suggestion: Don't put the album ranking in the title, makes the video more interesting this way

It's overall a good album and very enjoyable if you can get over the overindulgent monologue on the final track. His vocals is the weakest link and gives off a low energy vibe when some parts could have really benefited with more spark. I bet he's high out of his mind throughout the studio session.

We want Jenny on the next episode!

bummed I'll have to listen to my 1st full Elvis album.

It was a good listen.
