Mega64 Movie Club: Tommy Boy
We were gone this weekend, so we're going a little out of order- new Movie Club now and a new Friendimension a little later!
Last week we said we'd watch The Whale. But it wasn't widely available to watch at home, which was lame. So we pivoted to another film rife with Oscar accolades- Tommy Boy, the 90s comedy with Chris Farley and David Spade! Who here embraced it in their youth and who here never saw it at all?
Next week's movie is ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE.

Chris Farley was way funnier on SNL. Don't judge him from his movies they are his least funny stuff!
Artist Dave Paulson did a whole concept album called "Sandusky, Ohio" that is about Tommy Boy. Always try to recommend it to people when Tommy Boy comes up. It's pretty rad.
I really liked the 10 minutes of off-topic warm-up talk to be honest
Rocco is gonna hate Ace Ventura
home alone 2 -1 and tommy boy 4, Shawn should have his on movie review channel
as a Wisconsinite, we're very proud of the fact that Farley was a Madison native and brought a lot to the community in the height of his fame. His untimely loss still lingers but there's lots of sweet little dedications in his favorite restaurants and pubs
Since the Master of Disguise Sept 11 trivia was mentioned (one of my favorite bits of trivia too), I gotta recommend this really great article about the actual history behind that, for those interested: https://defector.com/master-of-disguise-turtle-club-911
This is my mom's favourite movie. Gonna make her watch this Movie Club.
