Mega64 Movie Club: Delicatessen
Cannibalism. Kids smoking cigarettes. Choreographed gross sex stuff. Fisheye lens. Yup, Derrick picked another French film for Mega64 Movie Club. So how much did we enjoy our visit to the Delicatessen?

Excellent art film. Totally agree with Derick that it was like a cross between Terry Gilliam and David Fincher. I'd also add David Lynch because it had significant Twin Peaks vibes.
Tell Shawn to go watch a Padres game. This film is for artists, b*tch!
Love me some movie club! Cinema buffs with the stuff
ive seen delicatessan back when i was going thru an "obscure movie period" (there was some great rental places in my town) but i loved hearing the boys debate and joke about this movie. gives me a new appreciation for mega64 that they watched this and gave it attention. the director made other movies The City Of Lost Children, and Micmacs, which the boys might like.
Also- we apologize this should hopefully be the last episode with ugly ass video/audio problems.
I was gonna say I feel like movie club has had terrible, terrible luck technically, like issues I haven’t seen you guys have over your whole 15+ years
Next week's movie is CITIZEN KANE.
Shawns so negative.
The dichotomy between Shaun and Derrick's tastes is making this show better each week.
Just a heads up that this movie is currently free if you have Amazon Prime!
Shaun really doesn't have a mind for art, huh
Hey, movie club! I have a request for y'all. Someday, could you talk about Brigsby Bear (2017) starring Kyle Mooney and Mark Hamill. It's got a fun premise, it's about making movies, and it's got a nice bit of dark comedy. I think it's even good for Shawn's kids with the exception of a slight sex scene during the middle of the film. I still think it could've been a lot better, and it'd be fun to think about what could've been improved.
