Mega64 Movie Club: The Public Enemy (1931)
We watched a classic gangster movie from 1931- The Public Enemy with James Cagney! It's crazy seeing this movie made DURING prohibition and... did they really fire real machine guns? Whoa. Check out our thoughts on this oldie but goodie.

I'm glad you mentioned that they switched the characters between the kid actors and the adult actors. I actually had to backtrack the movie to figure out the characters' names because I was certain the little kid who looked like James Cagney grew up to be James Cagney but their characterizations made no sense that way.
Next week's movie is GREMLINS!
I really enjoyed this movie. I would love to hear more Pre-Code movie recommendations from Derrick.
