Mega64 Movie Club: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Every time Mega64 talks about their theater experience, it makes me glad I don't live in San Diego. I know theater etiquette has been poor everywhere, but damn does it sound absolutely dire there.

I think the post credits scene that has kept in my noodle the most is the Ferris Bueller "you're still here" bit, but the Sinners post credits stuff is probably the best I've seen in the past decade.

I vote for Solo! I actually worked at Lucasfilm when that movie came out (so I'm definitely biased) but I completely believe it got overhated and overshadowed by the TLJ discourse that was still dominating the zetigeist. I don't think it's an AMAZING movie, but it's very fun and I love the world building/effects in it.

I'd vote Solo. Andor would also be interesting but the first 3 episodes are kinda the least interesting ones, in my opinion. Last Jedi has been discussed too much.

Good discussion in this one, about the target audience and wanting more for the kids. I thought Rocco summed up both sides well. I still dont know but I guess there is a balance with kids attention spans being as they are (or just general intelligence). Yoshi into daisy reveals for post credits seems like 2 wastes of time if you ask me, totally expect to see those characters anyway.

“There are things that I watch with 13 year old eyes.” That’s such an interesting perspective to me. I’ve only thought things are better now, and the way I approach movies is better now. I also had a poor kid childhood, and I mean homeless poor. So I never think of nostalgia is any positive light.

Watch the People vs George Lucas for a movie club - it's so bad it's funny nowadays. If not that, do Solo, I'm so sick of Last Jedi talk. and to hear Shawn's perspective on Solo having not seen it will be funny. But damn PLEASEE consider doing more good movies, I wish yall covered Sentimental Value!

Best post-credits scene is and always will be Ferris Bueller and worst is the Justice League one setting up the Legion of Doom that went nowhere the whole 6 remaining years of DCEU
