Weighing in on King Steven just in time: The Stand is pretty good, way better than the show. I thought Skeleton Crew was kind-of a stinker, but Night Shift is (for my money) the best horror short-story collection ever produced. 11.22.63 is awesome, as is Stand By Me. Most of his other stuff I've read I thought was just okay. The Shining was a huge let-down after how much better the movie is.

Honestly those old James Bond movies, as goofy as they are, are super nostalgic to me and are kinda like my basis for what James Bond movies are. My grandpa used to love watching my dad's VHS recordings of those Roger Moore ones in particular, good times lol

I was suprised Shawn was reading lord of the rings and when Rocco pointed out audiobook I was like ah.

Shawn, the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring book is super slow because Tolkien just winged as he went along. When they get to Rivendell he figured out the rest and it picks up the speed a lot.

I love the inclusion of music again, you guys are all super musically inclined and know a lot, glad we're seeing stuff you wouldnt on twitch/youtube. That Nine Inch Noise shit was wild!

Huge Sigur Rós fan here, just wanted to chime in on the discussion! The song they're referencing in the beginning is called "Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur" and is sung in Icelandic. They do have songs and whole albums in the made-up language "Hopelandic", but it's really just a series of syllables that sound nice when sung; there's no literal meaning to any of it. For any Internet Soldiers who are curious about "Hopelandic" (and I highly recommend checking Sigur Rós out, their music combines otherworldly beauty and rock energy shockingly well), check out the song "Salka" or "Untitled #1 (Vaka)". No hate at all to the boiz, that Sigur Rós segment actually made me laugh pretty hard. Loving these extra episodes!

Just going to say, Derrick is 100% correct in that No Time to Die is garbage tier Bond. Frankly outside Casino Royale the entire Craig era was garbage, the Roger Moore era was peak "make a Bond version of current thing" with the Blacksploitation in Live and Let Die and corny sci-fi with Moonraker but were at least fun (mostly). Also Timothy Dalton is the real GOAT Bond, just truly playing the character as this dead inside cold killer with the ability to put on a dashing smile as needed. GoldenEye is so clearly a reused Dalton script and works so well for a "what do you do with the spies now the Cold War is over" finale to the previous two.
