Rocco should watch GDT’s Frankenstein if only for the few moments clearly inspired by death stranding. One shot in particular
PLEASE SEE SENTIMENTAL VALUE PLEASEE THATD BE PEAK MOVIE CLUB it’s so much more interesting than hamnet and frankenstein
Pan's Labyrinth made you feel nothing, Rocco?!
Shouts out as well to Johnny Greenwood for his contribution to the score of this film. His use of disoriented piano keys and the motifs used in both Willa's theme and the trust devices really punched this film to another level for me.
I freaking love black girls
I’d recommend Sentimental Value, very interesting family drama. Also recommend Train Dreams. It’s quite a slow burn in a good way and gives you a lot to think about. The secret agent was ok but I would have much preferred No Other Choice be nominated and would prefer to have a movie club on that instead. I got to be an extra in Frankenstein and you can see me in the final film. Let me know if you see me without me giving any clue as to what I look like.
yeah secret agent is boring, i’d kill for a no other choice movie club
I enjoy movie club but would it be possible to get one of the other crew to join in more frequently? Just if they've already happened to see the movie so it's less commitment. Spice things up a bit.
There's one part in the plot recap you missed: the reason Beverley Hills gets with Lockjaw is because he finds her planting a bomb in a government building and tells her to come to him or he'll stop the French 75, so he essentially blackmails her. It's later at the bank robbery to fund their operation that she shoots someone and gets captured and that's when she starts ratting people out.
I'm pointing this out because I thought it was a really important part of painting Lockjaw's character, love the review thank you for covering this movie
The cliff booth teaser kind of sucked, i think they intentionally made it muddy for the “made appropriate for tv” bit but it didnt read right. I’m confident it’s gonna be good though. its fincher and qt, can’t let netflixs shitty marketing put you off two masters. If you want more of just hanging out with cliff booth there’s more of that in the novel and is enjoyable
cool runnings, shawn had to get his olympic itch in somehow huh
