This movie rules!
Love this movie and am really glad Rocco enjoyed it. I never really thought about the narration but it really does add a lot to this movie. The soundtrack is really good too and adds a lot to the scenes I feel. I always think about the 4th of July scene with Ray Charles doing America the Beautiful. Really glad Shawn talked about that scene. I also love the treehouse scene with them making s'mores and the flashback with the beast. I also actually like the part where they're trying to get the ball back, but I do agree it's a little long and goofy in some moments. But I love when Benny gets the new shoes to hop the fence and then gets chased by the beast across town. And them all helping the beast when the fence fell down. I thought that was really moving after all they had been through with him. Anyways, really glad you guys did this episode!
Gotta listen to Life thru a Lens and do the first ever Movie/Record Club collab for next week.
One of my favorites growing up. Thanks for doing this one guys鉂わ笍鉂わ笍
Ninja Turtles 2 is still one of my favorites. I quote that movie to this day. My kids don't care for it though.
Sandlot was the movie me and my friends would always watch at the sleepover after playing baseball at the field behind the local YMCA.
Baseball month has begun
Had a concern that Rocco was gonna shit on the greatest movie ever made, but real recognize real. Everyone will say they saw this at the end of the school year after state testing, and as a middle school teacher, I relive this every year by showing the students because kids watch it, they like it, and I don鈥檛 get tired multiple rewatches. They (surprisingly) like the occasional episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark and Pete and Pete.
Shawn, please add more episodes to Movie Club on Spotify! It's great to fall asleep to!
Just added 2 for you!
Truly so fucking stoked for this on a long drive home tonight
I've never been more excited for a movie club. If Rocco gives The Sandlot anything less than 4 shakers, I'm unsubbing
