I had a soft spot for Liam because he was shoehorned into the ‘responsible dad-friend’ role in 1D. I thought it was a joke at first when I saw his name trending - or some weird “joke” about his career being over due to being an abuser. Either way, no reason for his post-mortem pictures to have been shared by TMZ. Sucks for his young son.
Japan (Tokyo particularly) has had a huge hardcore resurgence recently, I highly recommend checking out a few shows next time you're there Garrett, you'd love it. Always a friendly and nice mix of people, young and old, Japanese and non-Japanese, from tiny DIY basement scenes to bigger stages. Glad you had a good time at the show, life is too short to not throw yourself into the pit sometimes.
When Rocco sings "two brothers" I was like man this sounds so familiar, where is this from? Realized it was from the American Adventure at Epcot and was like holy shit what an on brand niche reference.
It also plays at Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland!
I had low expectations going into Daima, but the first episode was genuinely good (before the chibi shit begins), and the second episode was still mildly entertaining. You just have to understand it's not trying to be a new DBZ season like all the previous ones (fighting), but more so "adventure" -- at least in the words of Toriyama.
