Mega64 Movie Club - Kindergarten Cop

This week we are going to play a game called "Who is your daddy and what does he do?" while we talk about the 1990 classic Kindergarten Cop. Today we ask the important questions like... Does this movie hold up after all these years? What video game is called a sequel to this movie? What's the deal with the ferret?

Surely the ending of this movie is why Arnold veto’d the bill about the ferrets 😂

Sam Raimi Spider-Man 2 maybe? And honestly, Eva 2.0 vs 1.0. And then again with 3.0 + 1.0 vs 3.0

We’re talking sequels where there is little to no debate. There is definitely debate between G1/G2 being the better one!

The second Mad Max in the Mel Gibson trilogy is considered better than the original

Love getting continued lore behind the dichotomy in the Chatfield household as Shawn's mother wanted him to live the life of Davey and Goliath while his dad took him to Smashing Pumpkins concerts. also fuck yeah cool kids club 😎

Kindergarten Cop was one of my favorite movies for a while - that little girl that’s also in Beethoven cracks me up every time. The part when Mr. Kimble is singing Old MacDonald and she’s dancing is so funny. Pamela Reed and Linda Hunt are really good in this, too.

fun fact: Joseph Williams is also the vocalist on the Urth recording of “Lapti Nek,” among other cool things
