Big changes (for the better)
Hello everyone! I'm here to update you on SBS and my idea of using AI for some short games.
First (and most importantly) is SELENA Belly Story.
And the thing is... even though it might take a little longer, I want to make the game as ambitious as possible (within reason).
And I was thinking... 80% of the game takes place in the city... so... why not make the city more appealing? And I thought of something... districts! Beyond the central, northern, eastern, and western zones, each area will have some more distinct districts, each with its own points of interest. As we progress, new events will appear or occur in these districts, making walking around the city more engaging than simply going from point A to point B.
Note: the map layout will remain the same, but there will be additional differences between districts (different tiles, buildings with different decorations, etc.). Also, depending on the district, there will be different belly wrestlers and, depending on the district, different side quests. Most likely, each district will be named after a food, and its layout will vary accordingly. I'm still working on it, and I'll share it as soon as I have something!
Also, purely for fanservice, I want to include a minigame in the menu where Selena massages her belly. Why? To see Selena's POV as she massages her belly. It's not difficult to do and it's good, don't you think? Also, the Selena menu will be redesigned.
Regarding the AI... I'm thinking of adding more voices to the game, even if they're AI voices. I don't know what you'll think of this, but even the cutscenes would have voice acting. Whether or not to do it is up to you.
Also about the short games with AI, I'm going to start a second part... a second part? Yes, because I'm making Belly Gamer Girl 2. With AI illustrations and better controls (since the first one wasn't particularly good).
I'll use this BGG2 as a "test" to see what you think of these short games with AI elements. Obviously, the programming won't be done with AI; I have to do that manually (and I know how to do it, so there's no problem).
Thank you very much for reading and being here another day. I hope you're excited about these updates!
