HF Patch for KKS v2.2 (mods up to 2026/09/19)
An unofficial patch for Koikatsu Sunshine that installs the latest fan-made English translations and essential mods. It also fixes many common issues with the game. It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements.

Koikatsu is split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes). You can see preview videos of the game and some of the mods here.
HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately. Unfortunately there is no English/Steam release and the game is no longer being sold, so the only way to get it is to buy it second hand.
The base game (Koikatsu Sunshine), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

This download contains the entire HF Patch and can be used offline. You can use qBittorrent or a similar torrent client to open the magnet link. Old patch versions are available in direct download links.

The EX expansion is entirely optional and can be skipped. It adds 4 new personalities with new type of events unique to them (old characters can't use these events). Remember that if you add the expansion later you will have to install HF Patch again afterwards.
If you need any further help check the wiki first, and if that doesn't help then ask in the #help channel of the Koikatsu Discord server. The #help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server!
To keep the download size reasonable, some rarely used and very old content mods or studio mods might not be included. If you have trouble loading characters or scenes, you can download the missing mods by clicking on the Update button in the game's launcher.

Hello, I'm using the recommended installation, but when I try to change the language, it always displays the message: "This language may contain untranslated texts. In this case, they will appear in the original language for a few seconds and then be translated online by Google Translator." How can I resolve this?
After the update, my save file is no longer at 100%, and even changing the save file doesn't solve the problem.

im using the latest patch, is there a problem with male privates when in h scenes?
There shouldn't be
There were two KKSUTS mods installed, and they did not work properly in my environment. Removing either one fixed the issue. {kks_root}\mods\Sideloader Modpack - KK_MaterialEditor\[Pizdatyi] KKUTS 2.5.1B.zipmod {kks_root}\mods\Sideloader Modpack - Exclusive KKS\nHaruka[nHaruka] KKSUTS v2.2.zipmod
This should be fixed, did you install v2.0 of the patch? You may need to tell it to remove old zipmods or update the modpack from launcher.
Hello. After updating the HF Patch for KKS, I get the message "KKS_BrowserFolders cannot be loaded because they are incompatible with KKS_StudioDefaultData". What should I do?
Remove KKS_StudioDefaultData or install HF Patch again and tell it to remove all old plugins.
does this patch have the full unlock included? or is there a need for a 100% save file
It has a full save + you can unlock anything you want with cheat tools, press F12.
I cant click on girls during H before and after the update, mouse can click all else, why is that?
Go to H scene and try press the "A" button and then try again. If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall the HF Patch, avoiding the keyword "hotkeys...(something)..." and the "console...(something)..." mods, I don't remember the full name of those mods. But I think that the case of your problem

I don't know what you're referring to. If it was a feature added by a plugin that is not included in the patch, you can restore it from the bacup zip file that the patch created in the game directory. For further help you'll have to send me a screenshot of what you mean, ideally in the #help channel on the discord sever.
Hi, I wanted to ask you. During the installation of the HF patch, you're asked if you want to reset the plugins, but I'm not sure if choosing to reload the plugins will also delete any plugins downloaded from other creators that aren't in your HF patch. Forgive the stupid question, but I'm afraid to give the OK to reset it, since I have several plugins recovered from various Patreons, Pixiv, and so on. I'd tear my hair out if I lost one, but only because I don't remember where to get it :P
Yes it will remove already existing plugins if checked. A backup will be created in game directory first so you can restore what you need from there later.

It cannot be purchased any more. You'd have to find it second hand on disc.

Im using a patch from 1 or 2 updates ago. Is there a fix for VR when in a postion the chara doesnt transition the position only stays static? if that makes sense.

Hey, I’ve got a question not exactly related to this specific update, just for KKP in general, I noticed in the character creator there’s a bunch of sprites for a couple Hoyoverse games and Vtubers but there’s no premade cards or character preset or whatever it’s called for them, is there somewhere I can go to find them so I don’t have to put the characters together myself?

It seems studio vr is messed up know though, I can't adjust the FK or IK of characters anymore, when I try to move it nothing happens, and I can't save a default character or scene parameter anymore either, the option is just gone (even the options for character lighting are overlapping each and I can't access some of the options) some eye textures/overlays are missing from some of my characters now too (and I've only ever used mods that came from the patch or were given out by you like the public vr patch) On a related note are the older versions of the patch still available? I would love to re-download those
You can download older versions of the plugin on its github page https://github.com/IllusionMods/KKS_VR/releases It sounds like your game is borked in some way since there should be no real difference in the latest patch compared to previous. Post your output log file in the help channel on the discord server with an explanation of the issue.
Seems like the light patch for 1.18 is corrupted. The installation program says it's incomplete.
Make sure you downloaded all parts and file names weren't changed.
"Problems with skirts" Hello again ManlyMarco. I just updated HF Patch to v.1.18. But now I'm having a little problem about the skirt that some of it was "dipping" into character thighs and butt cheeks (too bad that I can't post the Pictures to show these bugs in here or anywhere eles). In fact, These problems have been show up since v.1.16, But I think they might be fixed later, So I didn't respond for it. Maybe I can take some advice? or I need to wait until the next patch update? I didn't want to rush, But just curious. How long will it be before we see some more type of pussies? Like that we have in Koikatsu party. Especially the BP version (It would be great if we could have many more of that) Although it doesn't have much effect on gameplay. But it's just felt like something is missing.
At the moment there's no work being done on it. Anyone can learn how to convert the KK uncensors into KKS, ask on the discord server in the mod-modelling channel.

And that problem is, I can't mouse click to touch or interact with the character in the H-Sence, Both in Free-H and main game. It's happened just a 2-3 days ago. Restart your PC. Reinstall HF Patch if it didn't help.
General question: Should I be getting Honey Select 2 DX from DLsite or from Steam? Also, do we lose download access to removed games if we purchase them on DLSite after they are removed?
