1000th post!

I was in the back end of Patreon recently (prepping the two reward posts coming out this month) and noticed something interesting:

Quite the catch, I thought! So it is with great pleasure I can announce that this post is officially the 1000th post done by the Grove team on Patreon!

The page itself was set up in 2016, so it also marks the 10 year anniversary of attempting to make this content my full time job! Those who have followed over the past decade know that it was not a straight line. I've been doing content like this since the early 2000's, over various websites (my first site Litchart, a stint at the Breast Expansion Archive, many posting to forums and two pages still operating - one at deviantart and the other our current independent website).

When I quit my job in 2016 to start the Patreon, I was met very quickly with some harsh economic realities, and after a number of months decided it had to be a side gig at best, and tried to work it around other reliably paying jobs.

I will admit there were a number of months in the early days where I couldn't muster the energy to dedicate my nights and weekends to egregious boobs.

That changed in 2018-2019 when I decided to give up the on the whole side hustle, but before I went out I had an extended period when I was off contract work and decided to do a swansong - finally make a videogame like I had always wanted to do. I sat in a pub for a full day and worked on what would eventually become the first script of The Pill.

The positive reception to the game rekindled the love I had for making this kind of content and by the time COVID hit, and I lost about 6 months of work, I realised that the risks I felt about running the Patreon full time were no more volatile than "traditional" work and shifted 100% of my work effort to making BE content.

A few years down the track and Lady Grove decided to rage quit her own frustrating job and trade it in for a new round of frustrations by joining the production side of things here.

Apologies for the long trip down memory lane, but this work has become an enormous part of my life's story and I just wanted to tell you all from the bottom of my heart how appreciative I am of you all for making it happen. It isn't always fun and roses - there are frequent late nights and I'm currently working on the weekend to meet deadline, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'll keep creating and innovating to make the best expansion content I can as long as folks like you have an interest in me doing so.

While I'm here - an update on the month's content. The Pill ending we're working on is mostly complete, just doing some final renders. It'll be out in a day or two. I've shifted work to the second reward now, which is a completely standalone comic, about some sexy time toy usage that goes awry. That one will be out by the end of the month.

Now back to it for me!
