Quick Update - Ample Chests!
Hey everyone, just a quick update here, given we haven't been as post-y as normal this month.
The reason for this is simply that creating the game in a whole new engine has been a massive undertaking for both Lady Grove and myself. I've been busy on the animations while she has been converting the script into viable ren'py code (no small task indeed).
However as the saying goes - no news is good news, and our efforts (while still not quite done) are going well! All the animations (and most of the image poses) are implemented and the game is in a semi-stable state. What we're doing now is a lot of bug fixes, sound implementation and polish. The release window is still set for later this month and so far from my playthroughs I am personally enjoying it, and that's often a good sign you guys will too!
Anyhoo, back to it for me. Lots more swash-debuggling to do before I rest.

Don't forget the grog, and rum. Hardly a pirate's tale without em.
That's certainly how we've been getting the game made (late nights and rum is the secret to a pirate game)
I had to go back and check your previous post about this project to be sure, but yes Trevor's hairy chest is new. I like it! Makes him much more natural looking. If there's time, some forearm hair would look right as well
Definitely makes him look more like he's been at sea for years.
What will the game be about? Is it gonna be like the pill with multiple choises and different expansions or the game gonna be dedicated to just BE ,sorry for bad english in advance
Hopefully it will be similar to the pill, but with defining differences. My wager would be unless you played prior each item of booty has a different effect that won't be listed.
Arr Matey, as long as there's overflowing chests of treasure and lots of booty, this pirate be satisfied even if the game be late. Arr!
Yarr there be overflowing a plenty.
If this goes well would you possibly convert ChangeDeck or will it stay as is? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I don't know how all this works.
If it goes well it'll definitely mean more work in ren'py - so far I am actually really impressed with the program and its stability/workflow. However while it may mean a Change Deck 2.0 at some point in the future, we are not planning to convert it from Unity. It's just not feasible given the differences in the programs.
Later this month? But…….. we only have 3 days left of this month. Do you mean next month?
Just asking for clarification.
