New Avalanche Of Ki-84 Info
Greetings,
I have great news. Information I though was lost to time isn't lost at all. Someone has reached out to me who has an incredible treasure trove of original information on the Ki-84. There is so much stuff here it's amazing. The original Japanese Pilot's manual! TWO English translations of the manual. I have a test of, not only Japanese armor against US 50 cal, but literally the armor from the Frank against US 50 cal.
There is so much new information that it's just too much to list. So for this reason, I'm making a sort of Ki-84 video part 1.5. I'm holding off on part 2 to put out an interim video to clear up a lot of the stuff I had to guess at in part 1. Thankfully, it turns out most of my guesses were on the money, but I think everyone here wants accuracy, and I really hate taking guesses at this stuff, so before I go to Part 2 I want to clear a lot of this stuff up.
I'm super excited about this new info.

Hi Greg, I posted a couple of comparative pictures of the various .50-ish rounds on the community tab. Feel free to use them or not in the follow-up videos if they come in handy.
I saw someone post a link on Twitter to your video and their comments seemed to imply they had some extra info. Maybe the same guy? History rediscovered. Top Job.

This is exciting news. This is the kind of thing that makes modern internet worth it all. Rediscovering and preserving info long thought lost. Wonder if there are any substantial differences between the two translations of the pilot's manual.
