Trip is going well, Flight Sim Convention This Saturday

So far so good. Our adventure in the rental RV is going well. Upstate New York has been great, we saw Ft. Ticonderoga and rode a Rail Bike on an adventure that crossed the Hudson river.

My wife and I will be at the Flight Sim convention in Rhode Island on Saturday. I'll get there when it starts at 9AM and will probably stay until about 2PM. So if any of you see me there, please say hi. I'll find out what I can about new flight sims and hardware, I do need to figure out what joystick to get.

When I get back I'll get my Hellcat video up, which is the first video I have ever made that's sponsored. It won't be too intrusive though, it's about a 1 min War Thunder ad. I think you folks will like the video. I'm quite sure there is stuff in it about the Hellcat that hasn't been talked about before in video or even in any books on the plane.

I attached a video of my wife and I crossing the Hudson river on the rail bike. I'm not sure if it will upload properly or not.

Hi there Greg, on the flight sim subject I've just finished trialing the Beam eye tracker using a Logitech HD webcam. I've not tried any other available products but as a first intro into head tracking it's extremely good. A little set up required but quite minimal and lots of customization adjustments. They give you a 90 mins trial. Used in combination with Open track s/w. If you enjoyed the Old Rhinebeck I can recommend a visit to the Shuttleworth collection in the UK. My son and I recently returned from the UK camping on site for 5 days for the most recent flying days....one word sensational! Beautiful spot to camp under the oak trees. 20 quid a night. Bar in the mansion house at night. Cafe on site. Walk the grounds in the morning and evening or pop to Biggleswade for breakfast and dinner. Head down to the hangers in the morning for a chin wag with the engineers. 10K attendance over the weekend so small and more intimate. Duxford only 30mins away. I'm sure you would enjoy a very intimate experience all round. I spent the best part of an hour chatting to the engineers working on the sea Hurricane and its engine issues.

Have a great time Greg! I wanted so much to see you at the USAF Museum, but work got in the way!

I'll put more rail bike action in a Patreon exclusive trip video.

Oh, I see. To see that there's even an attachment, I had to leave the Patreon feed, and look at your post alone. Patreon should not bury it that way. If you hadn't mentioned it, I would never have known.

The video uploaded fine. I had never heard of a "rail bike" before; glad the video (partly) showed what it was!
