Urgent Kdrama Update

Hey everyone, a quick update on the K-drama poll.

For now, we’re going with Kill Me, Heal Me, which finished in second place. The Beauty Inside will have to wait because of its CJ connection.

Since September, I’ve been dealing with repeated copyright strikes involving CJ-related dramas. I’ve successfully challenged these issues before, but some of my counter-notifications aren’t being forwarded this time. I’m skipping a lot of the back-and-forth, but the situation is serious.

Yesterday, I was facing the possibility of losing the channel entirely, and I wasn’t getting the help I needed from YouTube. I managed to get the standing strikes below three, but I still have two that I haven’t been able to get cleared. I’m continuing to fight them. I’m not giving up.

That stress is part of why I didn’t upload some videos yesterday. I needed to get away with my family and get my mind off everything for a little while. Honestly, it’s a wonder I was able to record. If a show is good enough, it can still pull me in and distract me. Thank God for ADHD, lol.

But three active copyright strikes can put a channel at risk of termination, and linked YouTube channels can be affected too. That puts my whole livelihood, and the people who depend on this work, at risk. I can’t gamble everything we’ve built on one show.

For now, I’m planning around a 90-day pause on recording and posting CJ-related dramas. If I can get those strikes cleared sooner, I won’t wait out the full 90 days to resume. This is a temporary decision to protect the channel while I keep working to resolve it.

I understand some Patreon members may say, “Record it anyway and just keep it here.” We do have Patreon-only content, and I appreciate everyone supporting us there. But I also have YouTube members and viewers to consider. YouTube is how so many people found this community in the first place, and I need to keep a steady pipeline of content going there too.

There’s another part of this that matters to me: my editors.

These are people I’ve built real relationships with over time. They have families, responsibilities, and everyday problems just like the rest of us. I try to handle the copyright stress without making them worry about whether their income is about to disappear too.

When these decisions get reduced to views and money, that part gets overlooked. Consistent videos mean consistent work for people I care about.

And practically, if I can’t provide steady work, they understandably have to look elsewhere. We’ve built an excellent team. We help each other, we’re patient with each other, and I want to protect that relationship. This feels like a family to me.

So I’m asking for some patience with this temporary change. I know people were looking forward to The Beauty Inside, and I’m not dismissing that. I’m choosing other shows to reduce the risk, keep the team working, and keep showing up for all of you.
