My wife and I already watched:
Fate/Zero
Fate/Stay Night
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works
So yeah — we’re familiar with the classes (Saber/Arthur, etc.). That’s also why I’m a Gilgamesh fan.
The issue is we just don’t remember every detail because we watched it casually
When we watch TV normally, it’s usually background: talking, chores, bathroom breaks, etc.
When we react, we actually lock in, and we enjoy the story more because we pay attention
We’ve both done 50+ hour work weeks forever, so there’s not much “sit and study TV” time
If we reacted to Fate, it would honestly feel brand new because this time we’d catch the details we missed
TL;DR: We’ve seen it, but we watched it casually — reactions = actually paying attention.

I keep mentioning The Fates we’ve already seen, and people keep recommending it like it’s brand new to us 😂
My wife and I have already watched Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night, and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works — so yeah, we’re familiar with the classes and all that. Like Saber (Arthur), etc. That’s also why I’m a Gilgamesh fan.
The real issue is… we just don’t remember all the details.
Because when we watch TV on our own, we watch it casually. We’re mainly locked in on the action… and if folks start yapping? We’re yapping too 😭
We’re talking, going to the bathroom, doing chores, whatever — because for us, TV is usually background entertainment.
But when we do reactions? We actually pay attention, and ironically we enjoy the story more because we’re forced to lock in and catch all the details we missed the first time.
And to keep it real… my wife and I have both always worked 50+ hour work weeks. There’s basically no idle time to watch TV like it’s your only job. There’s always something to do.
Some people know every single storyline but their house looks like a hurricane hit it. Shout out to that streamer living in a messy home 😭😭😭
So to my real-life friends, this isn’t a big deal at all. It’s only when I interact with people online that it becomes a whole “HOW DO YOU NOT REMEMBER??” situation.
But here’s the funny part: if we reacted to Fate, it would almost feel like a brand new reaction — because this time we’d actually catch and appreciate the details we missed back then.
TL;DR: Me and my wife watch TV casually, so even if we’ve seen something, we might not remember everything for normal reasons.

I cannot really relate to the whole “casual viewing” thing too much. I never really watch shows as background. But the explanation makes a lot of sense. If Especially with a series like fate that has so much going on. If you get to do reactions of a rewatch, I am definitely be tuned in. If not, these Strange/Fake reaction vids are already great.

i read 300 hours of Fate visual novels, and played 500 hours of Fate gacha and watched all anime. even i dont remember shit because those shit were like 10 years ago. Such is life. Just enjoy however you enjoy, im not here to get Fate lore from you, with all due respect

I second the Heaven's Feel movie suggestion, it's perfect for lee's taste imo and not to lore heavy compared to the other fates. About the remember things I don't even think fate fans remember everything about it tbh so I wouldn't worry about it, I think it's best when you don't know and then when something is revealed it all clicks.
I knew y'all had seen Fate but I thought you wouldn't react to the franchise because of the copyright specifically. I'm hyped as fuck y'all are giving us Strange Fake reactions. If people support it enough I think you'd like the Fate Heavens Feel movies which do an alternate timeline of FSN/UBW and it goes completely off the rails different from the other timelines
Yea that's something I would have a hard time relating to, to sum it all up I generally don't watch anything unless I can focus on it cause otherwise it just feels like I didn't get the full experience. I dunno

Hows the idea on reacting to fate series which u didn't watch like fate apocrypha and fate grand order it will definitely give u guys more context on fate as a whole and u might understand or regonise some of the cameos in fate strange fake
